HAN Dynasty @ Thomson - 3 Jasmine Rd

On the 21st of August, my mum and I came down for a Swedish massage at 8.45pm. I was really looking forward to the massage as I have always had a really enjoyable experience here. However this particular time I was really really disappointed. The masseuse that was appointed to me was overly chatty and she had to ask if I was okay almost every 30 seconds. And it would be fine if the massage she had given was pleasant but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Not only was I not able to relax, I was also tempted to ask her to stop the entire session. This is by far one of the worst massages , if not the worst massage I have ever experienced. I was not able to get the name of my masseuse but she was a local woman aged probably around 50s to 60s. Really really disappointing.

Milan is excellent with pressure points. Cathy is not bad. Gina is the Incredible She-hulk if you need a hard press.

My go-to place for massage every other week. I've been to the one at Balestier and also tried this one here in Thomson. However, ill always choose to come back to the Thomson Branch. All my experience was always good. However, this time round I wasn't very delighted by the experience at the receptionist during payment. The girl who initially attended to me was alright. However, aother Customee came in and another girl took over. What she portrayed was an attitude that I have caused her great inconvenience, despite sometimes the payment mechanism may be take a while and sometimes it does require us re-scan the code again. I even apologized but she just ignore my apologies without an acknowledgement. On the positive note, my masseur Gena was amazing! She's definitely whom I want to request every time I book with Han Dynasty! Totally worth every minute with her. Will return for Gena. :)

Booking was easy as I booked through their FB page. Request for the couple room for me and my friend. We took the 120 minutes Oriental and Swedish massage. Everything was fine. The Pros 1. Reasonable price for 120 minutes at $112. 2. No extra charge for couple room which is ??????. 3 the environment is clean and the room is not too dark. 4 easy to book appointment through FB The Cons 1 Not sure is it a routine as my friend feedback that actually he requested for the masseur to focus more on his lower back and legs but the request was not granted. 2. The masseur kept asking my friend is he okay is it too hard ect ect. My friend just couldn't rest well through out. Generally very nice experience with Han Dynasty despite the two cons. Will definitely go back.

Being a professional dancer, I am a harsh critique of massages. My second time at Han Dynasty and I would like to give a special shout-out to masseuse Lily. Without having to tell her, she could identify and release tension areas which needed more care. More importantly, she was consistent throughout the 1.5hours of strong pressure. Super thankful for her. Will be back again.

The CS were attentive to my queries and provided speedy responses. It was a good experience but there was a communication breakdown between the receptionists and masseuses where the masseuses didn't know we opted for the Swedish massage and was doing the traditional massage with acupressure until I realised midway and pointed it out. Even then I felt that the strokes for the Swedish massage were so fast albeit its claims to be relaxing. My partner did enjoy his massage though. The skills for the masseuses are okay, would have been more relaxing if the strokes were slower and had less questioning during the session. Plus point is no hard selling?

This is our first time visiting. Location: Quite accessible by public transport (Upper Thomson Mrt) 6-8 mins walk once u alight from the MRT. Does have parking spaces for those who drives, but limited slots. Ambience: Not bad, gives you the feeling is a real place (clean) for massage and not those Hanky panky type. We gotten a couple room, and there's attached standing shower along. Masseuses: Professional, friendly, doesn't waste your time and the pressure point areas were spot on. 5 star from us. It's really worth the amount you spent. Total damage: $80 per pax for 1 & 1/2 hr body massage (We opted for Oriental massage) Lastly for customer service: We will only give a 3 star, both ladies at the front counter not professional enough. Attitude wise is so so only, and their knowledge of their own services / products have more rooms for improvement. For customers do take note that you will have to provide your NRIC when you fill up their forms. We wanted to put only the last 4 digit of our NRIC, but were told to state in the full. As their answers were, sometimes the police conduct checks.

Visited today with my partner to try their Couples Massage Promo currently running - Your choice of 90min massage, 2 pax. for $140++. The Signature massages we both opted for were very good, firm but hit all of the spots perfectly. The two chinese ladies (Linda & Wei Wei iirc.) who took care of us were a bit chatty but remained professional throughout and were great. We'll definitely be back in the future.
