Dearest Sha, Both me and Zaidi we really thankful and super lucky to have you as part of our birth journey. We wouldnt have it otherwise. Thank you for also putting up with our antics during birth classes and during Zahraa’s birth. Though, it wasnt ideal we managed to get through it calmly and safely. And thanks for making sure Zaidi was okay when I had to be wheeled into the OT. We only have so much love for you! If given another opportunity, we wouldnt hesitate to engage you again for our 2nd!

I’m super glad I found a doula! I definitely needed one to get through 2 VBACs. I’m a return customer of Shaheera. First VBAC, I didn’t think I could achieve a VBAC, but with her around, Alhamdulillah I did it! Third pregnancy, no need to think so hard, I engaged her again for my 2nd VBAC. I could see she was super tired during my 2nd VBAC labour (cos she didn’t realise she was preggy!) but she pushed on for me. She was with us throughout the night, busy massaging the induction points, and giving me all the necessary items (ball, hot towel, etc). I wouldn’t have done anything if it was me in my first trimester, but Shaheera pushed on. That’s how she is, always giving her everything for her patients.

If you are looking for a birth preparation class, I'd recommend Shaheera! I attended her one-to-one class and she covered many topics to help to give me an idea of the entire birth process, what to expect and how to prepare for it. She always has a positive and encouraging vibe and she's still my go-to if I have any queries post-partum!

My husband and I did the express childbirth preparation with Shaheeraa. We highly recommend it. Shaheeraa is kind, positive and demonstrated a strong ability to listen to us and adapt to our needs. We now feel more prepared to welcome our second child.

I took the express birth class as I wanted a refresher for my second pregnancy. What attracted me to her class as compared to others was that she provides evidence based articles in relation to birth. Thats when you know that the materials you will be provided with are valid and credible. Doula Shaheera was very accomodating to have the class in her lovely home. She helped to answer some of the questions I had abt my first birth which was e-csect and also gave some encouraging words. Somehow that helped me to move on from the previous birth trauma I had which has been hanging over me for the longest time. As I am trying for a VBAC, She also shared tips, successful stories and resources as well as books that I could read up on. This class is not the first birth class that Ive attended but in comparison, I felt that happyoffspring’s birth class stuck to my head more. The content was brief but detailed enough for someone to go into labour, informed and confident. Knowledge aside, I feel the sincerity and the support from her. Despite being pregnant herself, she really gave her best and delivered the content well for the straight 3 hours, without break!! Im sure it might have been tiring for her. I really felt that she created a comfortable and environment for me to ask questions. If you were to engage her as your doula, im sure she will go out of her way for you insha’allah. I wished I could have her as my doula but unfortunately she wont be available on my edd. Even so, she went out of her way to provide me with a list of doulas that I could engage. For that, i am really appreciative of her. Now, i feel that Ive a clearer vision and more positive outlook at my attempt on vbac. Ill definitely try my best to prepare my body and mind for the upcoming birth. Insha’allah I will update on the outcome of my second pregnancy and will definitely reccommend happyoffspring to anyone!

Shaheera conducted an excellent express birth class for my husband and I. She educated us on the important points to look out for such as dilation, effacement, contractions interval etc. More importantly, when I shared with her that my biggest fear is pain management, instead of going by theories she told me it’s important to seek out positive birth stories from friends and family. She even made us do a few pain managing exercises to get a feel of what would work best for me. She went further by giving us the opportunity to understand what type of a person I am under stress and what would expect my significant other to do. These conversations would not have unfold without the help of Shaheera which helped us during labour.

Did the express class with Shaheera and it is worth it. We covered so many things from what exactly happens during labour, what needs to happen to assist in the birthing process as well as the emotional part of labour. It was so useful for us as first time parents to understand what to expect so we dont go in blind and scared. The class really helped us calm down and also find out more about what we need from each other as partners.

Shaheera came across as very different from the other doulas I considered. She was friendly, easygoing and didn't have any rules for me to follow. Her express birth class was adequate for me to learn what was necessary without unduly stressing me. While my labour progressed quite rapidly in her physical absence, she was constantly in touch with me and my husband to check on my progress and provide advice. Her guidance for pushing really helped me get through it relatively calmly. Though she was pregnant herself then, she was always cheery and put my needs first. I really appreciated that.
