★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have learned a lot at Haru Yama. Stanley sensei is very particular on the techniques and getting them right. He doesn't believe in "winging it" and we are audited before we earn the opportunity to go for grading. "Earned not Given" is what we go by.

Also taking every lesson seriously to refine my techniques with the help of every aikidoka. Definitely a good place to earn your ranks as you progress.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive environment where regardless of your level, there's always something to learn and take away from each class. Stanley Sensei is very detailed in his teachings while the rest of the class are helpful in guiding beginners and taking care of one another.
The content is always challenging to push each individual, to improve and be better than they were the lesson before. Lots of details to pay attention to, so keep your focus throughout the class. Rome wasn't conquered in a day so don't worry as long as you make an effort to improve, you'll be fine.
The room where we use for training is air conditioned and spacious. There are also lots of windows for ventilation if needed. The Toa Payoh East CC isn't beside an MRT station but there are a number of buses that you can catch to bring you here. The CC staff are friendly and helpful to guide you on how to sign up. You can also sign up for the course online.
