Hay Gelato - 136 Bedok North Ave 3

Hay Gelato has a great ambience for locals of the Bedok neighbourhood to have chats w friends and family over a plate of ice cream and waffles. I tried one of their experimental flavours, Pandan Lemongrass which is sinful and satisfying. Been here a few times w friends where we enjoyed flavours like Lime and Balsamic Strawberry too. Highly recommend for the treats and service!

These crisp waffles are the best I've had in a while. Some of the ice cream flavours (balsamic strawberry!) were a hit some cld do with better texture and flavour. Super underrated gem in the heartlands!

Drove pass and saw them still open, decided to pop in to try. Nice small waffle gelato shop that opens till 2am to satisfy anyone's late night craving for fresh waffles & gelsto. Waffles are freshly made to order, you can smell when u enter the shop. Waffles are crispy on the outside, soft inside with very natural taste. They offer a nice selection of gelato. We tried the chocolate & avocado gelato. Taste was good and goes well with their freshly made waffles. Price was reasonable for a waffle and 2 x single scoop gelato at $15.40. Will definitely come back again to try more of the gelato flavours and waffles. ???

Rather empty on a Tuesday night. Personally not a fan of a waffle being entirely crispy. Love the sound when the knife cuts through but my preference would still be fluffy and softer on the inside. Chose mango ice cream to go with it and it was an amazing combo. 10/10 recommend if you like this type of texture for waffles!

Top quality ice cream and waffle, cosy and modern interior with a nice touch with the dried flowers and opens till late. The ice cream is also topped with crunchy bits of pistachio and chocolate chip which adds a great dimension to the texture and look! Sadly it’s only in the east, wish it opens an outlet in the west as well!

Phenomenal waffles but having mixed feelings about their gelato. We had: 1. Salted vanilla - not bad 2. Strawberry - my friend approves of it 3. Ginger stuff - what was I thinking Go for anything except the ginger one, but best waffles I’ve had.

Gelato was not too bad. I had Vanilla Himalayan Salt flavour, which reminded me of McDonald's ice cream but more salty. My friend had the Rose flavour, which melts quite slowly. We think it may be more of a sorbet of sorts. The waffle was crispy, and a little hard. We sat outside, which was quite alright despite the noises from the traffic. The staff were friendly and helpful. Serving time is relatively alright.

Just a stone throw from Percolate after the mains, my friend recommended we try this place for dessert. We were kinda early they just opened and the staff was still arranging the furniture. Small but very nicely decorated shop, interesting hanging floral setup. The staff was nice told us would have to wait a while if we wanted the waffles as we were the first customers would take some time to clean and heat up the waffle maker. We decided to wait. Ice cream flavours wise not many but there were a few more special ones, so decided to order the safest combination of orange and chocolate. Waffles was served and I have to say its pretty good. Very fluffy in the inside and crispy on the outside. The ice cream scoops are also pretty big and generous and on top of it a little crater to allow them to add some toppings. I didn't really know what they were but it tasted good overall. The most unique flavour we ordered was the preserved orange peel which tasted so close to the real thing! I don't really like that as a snack but it was definitely good as ice cream. Looks like another contender to the their famous waffle cafe on the other side, if you know which one i mean.
