Had claypot for lunch. The staff had a weird way of mixing the rice, involving removing all the ingredients and putting it on the plate before mixing the rice with sauce. Was weird cos the rice was tasteless after and I have never seen anyone mix like this. Sadly, mixing it correctly wouldn't have saved it. In competitive geylang, I probably can't see myself coming back with so many good places to eat nearby.

The quality has been dropped drastically over the years. Their signature dish - claypot rice with chicken, salted fish, salted egg and Chinese sausages was getting worse and worse. The rice were no aroma of rice, and it was crushed into small pieces when serving us. It didn’t cook as one piece. There was no nice smell of charcoal. Not sure how they cooked it. But it’s just some normal claypot rice for me. Lucky I preordered, no need to wait 30 mins on the spot. The land long dish was poorly small portion. Even a kid can eat ten portions. As claimed it is small size, thurs the portion was small. Haha why other zi char stall have so much bigger portion for small size. The watercress was with msg definitely. No sure it was chicken stock or msg. But sure it was not the original taste of the soup. The golden tofu was alright. But nothing can go wrong with deep fried dishes. The tofu was actually composed by seafood and tofu I guess. So the taste was totally not tofu. No more next time. Thanks.

Wallet friendly prices & tasty fares. Hokkien mee: Old school taste, noodles is not over cooked (no akaline taste) Fried beancurd sticks: Crispy on the outside, soft & moist on the inside Sweet sour pork: not overly sweet, pork is crispy; retaining the tenderness Har cheong chicken: Looks dry but it’s tender on the inside Average waiting time for claypot rice is 30 mins

Been patronising this place for 4x. I personally like the claypot rice, fried beancurd, and cuttle fish kangkong! For the staff and service, they quite friendly as we always have a small chat with them.

Most disappointing Claypot rice ever for me. Its a zero star for me Despite seeing only 2 tables filled at the shop during a weekend lunch time, I decided to give them a try thinking may be is due to covid. Ordered 1 person portion at $10. Firstly it took no less than 30mins to serve even though the other 2 tables have almost finished their meals. Take a look at the 1st photo, the chickens that came along were chunky and dry looking plus a chicken wing tail. If I am being served with the whole wing, I get it. Instead it's just the wing tail. I told the lady who served me but she just ignored and walked away. Needless to say, all the meats tasted hard and dry. Can't help thinking that they may have recycled left over foods. I was hoping the rice will at least make up for the disappointing chikens. Goodness ! The rice tastes nothing better than ordinary steam rice with oil and soya sauce. Have no claypot fragrance at all. Lesson learnt. Never try a eatery that barely has any customers during lunch or dinner times, especially weekends.

The food is pretty good. Claypot rice is very on point as well. I do find the price a little high for these dishes we ordered. 44 bucks doesn't seem right.
