Super old school, super chill, super good coffee and toast. They serve a traditional form of coffee that comes with butter in it.. yes.. butter in coffee.. also..! The kaya bread is fabulous..! Lightly toasted over an open flame, really traditional tasting kaya with butter.. awesome beyond the modern ones by miles

A local breakfast spot that serves up delicious coffee, kaya toast, half boiled egg, kuih and Curry puffs all in one location. I love how 3 different types of food run by different owners run this place harmoniously. Highly recommend this little spot!

Nearby parking lots. The place momentarily transports you back to the old days… The standard set priced at $3.90 comes with toasts, eggs and coffee. Toasts were the fluffy and not crispy type, good that they were not too sweet nor overly filled with butter. Egg yolks were more cooked that the usual runny type. Coffee was pretty standard to me, but kudos to them for not making it too sweet. Overall, worth to give it a try for the ambience and toasts.

Arrived here in a busy Monday morning to have breakfast with my family, they had roasted bread sandwich with custard apple jam, half-cooked eggs and you can enjoy them with a cup of coffee within one breakfast package. What a perfect mood booster to start a day.

Nostalgic place for an old style coffee place. The toast are charcoal grilled and traditional old coffee brings back childhood memories. In the same shop, there is a Malay store selling old style epok epok (curry puff). The pastry n potato totally yummy. Do visit if you are around the area.

Probably the hype has died down, first few times walking past it was always packed with long queue outside. Happened to be there just on a Sunday afternoon and then it was so quiet with so many empty tables, could just walk in and pick almost anywhere I wanted to sit. This place is so retro and nostalgic, everything still looks quite original to back in the 70s or 80s (except for the curry puff stall). Food here is so cheap and good, ordered a set and was less than $4. I don't understand why the egg yolk here tastes so good compared to elsewhere and did they make their own butter? It's so good that I could probably finish the whole slab. Time just seemed to have stopped in this coffeeshop, it's a very nice place to sit and enjoy tea when it's quiet (can be a bit warm though). And talking about the curry puffs, this place sells curry puffs out of the world as well. There are so many people waiting for the curry puffs and the skin is so thin and crispy! Doesn't hurt to order some to enjoy with the bread and eggs.

The coffee shop retains the traditional style kaya toast with the bread being toasted in charcoal. The shop is patronized by many customers. Coffee and tea are good. There is also a small Malay shop that sells hand-made curry puff. Come here if you want to create a nostalgic experience.

If you want to travel back in time then go to this place. Very retro style. Not many people on a Sunday morning which was a bit surprising considering the amount of reviews. Everything in the pictures was 4.20. The coffee tastes good with a dash of butter and some condensed milk. The staff is very old school and be prepared to shout your order to them. The toast is good with a generous layer of butter and a bit of Kaya jam. The eggs are good too. I'd say it's worth going if you live nearby but might not be worth it to actually travel across town to get here.
