Really wonderful vibes and delicious food!! I particularly liked the konbu tater tots - they were seasoned so well and the sauce was ?? The sandos were done really well too, perfect portions with sufficient and tasty fillings. Had such a nice meal? Only downside is the queue so do try to reserve or go earlier!!!

Our first visit at this cafe along Upper Thomson area. Went for their Mentaiko Pasta and a Katsu Sando to share. Love their thick panko-breaded pork cutlet which went so well with that sweet marinated grilled pineapple rings. Yummy I would say! Cousin who loves pasta went for the Mentaiko, the taste is good but we both felt this dish will be better if they had chosen angel hair pasta instead. Spaghetti as the pasta choice seems thick and heavy for this dish. Other dishes on the menu sounds good too, will come back to try again.

Came on a weekday evening, was a little surprised at the size of the shop ? it’s really small so do make reservations before coming. We ordered the Hello Kombu Tater Tots ($13), Tamago Sando ($14), Katsu Sando ($16), Kombu Capellini ($24), Shio Lychee ($6) and Lychee Rose ($6). The portion in general was small; tater tots were great, along with both Sandos. Although they are considered expensive for the portion, I think it’s worth ordering. The Kombu Capellini was average and I personally felt that the drinks can be skipped on. Will come and try the Gyuu Sando, Tomyum Somen and Mentaiko Pasta another time! Also, coffees aren’t served during dinner time so if you wanna try their coffee, come during lunch!

Well balanced flavour and texture sandos that are sure to make you want more. The filings have enough sweet, salt, acid, spice, and crunch, served between toasted shokupan, to not make you feel full. Unfortunately we thought the gyu katsu could have been served medium instead of medium rare as it was too chewy to be served as a sando. Do remember to make reservations as it is a really popular cafe in the area. Accessibility features: Transport: 5mins from nearest bus stop External: stairs and steps along corridor, external seating available Main entrance: flat even ground Indoor: narrow walkway with 3 steps inside shop Toilet: 3 steps up into toilet Menu: online pdf, server orders food Not halal

Service was alright, perhaps slow down on clearing the plates when guests are not done yet. I only like the side dish - chicken. Nothing very impressive about the sandwiches. Egg sandwich is good for insta pix. Pork sandwich was so-so, the pork can be more flavourful instead of pairing it with a strong tasting sauce.

We ordered Gyu Sando ($26), Teriyaki Chicken Sando ($15), Tamago Sando ($14) & Katsu Sando ($16). I will go back for their Katsu Sando because it is so soft and tender! Their bread is also perfectly crusted, sweet, soft and pillowy. For sides, we ordered breaded spam ($12) and truffle fries ($13). I feel the truffle fries is too small in portion for the price of $13. But it was still delicious because it's thin & crispy. Hope they will increase its size so it can cater for bigger groups! For drinks, I ordered their Spring Time Cold Brew Tea ($5) that consists of White Chrysanthemum, Orange & Honey. It's a refreshing light go-to drink during a really hot day in Singapore! Staff were really welcoming and friendly and made us feel really comfortable dining there. Definitely will come back to try more of their other dishes! Loved their minimalistic interior of black & white too!

Good food and good vibes with friends at Hello Arigato @helloarigato.official last week! If you love Japanese-inspired dishes or sandos, this is one cafe worth checking out in the Upper Thomson area! ⁣ ⁣ The ???????? ????? may look unassuming, but it is downright satisfying! I mean, just look at that glorious cross-section (if you are wondering why I only have half, it's because Bb's friend took the other half ?)! The chicken thigh sandwiched between soft pillowy Japanese milk bread was tender and juicy, with the teriyaki glaze bringing an umami oomph with every bite. We love that the lightly toasted bread retained its crispiness and did not become soggy. ⁣ ⁣ ???????? ????? is a good option for pasta lovers, with the mentaiko sauce and generous sprinkling of tobiko lending creamy richness and umami to the wafu pasta dish! The raw scallops were fresh, with lemon zest cutting through the sweetness of each piece. However, we felt that the pasta choice could have been better - perhaps capellini or angel hair would have worked better with the seafood flavours. Nevertheless, it's worth getting if you love mentaiko! ??⁣ ⁣ Didn't try the ????? ????? but BB's friend loved the thick panko-breaded pork cutlet between the bread slices. Shall get that next visit!⁣ .⁣ ? Address: 227 Upper Thomson Rd, Singapore 574359⁣

Nestled in the heart of Upper Thomson, Hello Arigato serves great quality sandwiches if you don't mind spending a little more money. The food overall is great however I was expecting more quantity of truffle fries for the price point of $13 (excl service charge). It's definitely worth a try but I took off one star as it can be a little pricey.
