★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dino is a place full of quirks and inconsistencies but I do quite like it. 3 stars is about right. Food is nostalgic (old school - interpretations of Western food as they were back in the day). Laksa is their specialty and quite unique tasting I must say.
Inconsistent though. I once waited 30 min for a chicken pie and cappuccino, but the cafe wasn’t that busy. Lady at cashier has her moods and sometimes seems plain disinterested.
I suppose the weirdness and goodness all comes as a package.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Long-standing old school cafe with great curry puffs. Flakey exterior, generous filling with just the right texture and spice level. Beats Polar hands down.
Also liked the mee siam and cheesecake considering the price. The latter is a small slice but can actually compete with some cafes in my books (save for the biscuit base, which is literally a biscuit). The sugar roll didn't quite live up to the hype but it's $1!
