Their oyster egg was fresh and extremely tasty, not too oily but with the right mix of flavours. The carrot cake was also fragrant and flavourful, with a aromatic blend of sweet and salty. Although the queue is a bit long, its definitely worth it.

Got the black carrot cake. There was 3 or 4 big chunks, they didn't bother to mince it evenly.. Even the halal stall carrot cake taste better.

This is the carrot cake you will love forever! These cubes of radish were perfectly stir-fried with eggs, prawns, as well as other seasonings, and topped with some spring onions. Such a delight for a fan of carrot cake that is flavorful and texturally good. To enhance the flavor of the dish, chili sauce is added. This stall is really popular, so be prepared for quite a wait.

Carrot Cake / Chye Tow Kueh (SGD $5) @ Heng 興 Carrot Cake. . Since 1971, with over 50 years experience hand making and steaming their own carrot cake, it's little wonder they attract queues. . The carrot cake is moist and delicious with a soft chew, well executed. Has a generous portion of eggs and chye poh / preserved radish. . The black version is smoky sweet savoury eggy spice in taste. I prefer the white version, with its savoury sweet eggy spice notes, and tiny crispy bits.

Delicious Freshly crisp oyster omelette. Only complaint is the odd oyster on the plate a bit smelly. Waiting time can be 5 minutes up to 30 minutes depending on the time u go. Carrot cake not bad too but not the best.

A carrot cake stall serving great Orh Luak! Fried to crispiness, super shiok to pair with fresh succulent oysters. Love this wonderful rendition of Orh luak, I am a fan already.

#01-28 Heng Carrot Cake One the more popular stall in the Food Centre, Heng Carrot Cake has been around since the 1970s and they are one of the few Fried Carrot Cake stalls in Singapore that still makes their own Carrot Cake. The stall also serves up Fried Oyster and Oyster Omelette. Usually a self-service stall, they will take your order to your table during the longer waiting times by quoting your table number. For those doing takeaways, a number is provided to call to make your order. When the Carrot Cake arrived, it was piping hot and smelled great. However, when biting into it, there was no Wow Factor. It was not bad but nothing to shout about either. General Verdict: Hugely popular stall with a long wait for Carrot Cake that is Acceptable at best Opening Hours: Daily 5pm to 1am (Closed on Tuesdays) Queue Situation: About 5 mins to 15 mins to put in your order than another 30 mins to 45 mins for your order to be served Payment Mode: Cash, Local Internet Banking by QR code or AMEX (Singapore) Pay Is this worth a try? Yes. Is it worth making a trip just to try it? Maybe not. Is this worthy of the Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore Award? Unlikely. Item Ordered: 1) Item: Fried Carrot Cake (Small Serving) Description: Eggy goodness fried with homemade carrot cakes that had no Wow Factor, tasting quite normal Verdict: Acceptable, Order only if you want to try Price: SG$4/SG$5/SG$7/SG$8 (S/M/L/XL)
