As a fan of 炒蚝煎 / chao hao jian / Oyster Omelette, I definitely cannot miss to try one of the popular food in Singapore Hawker center. In Newton Food Center, there a lot of stalls that offer oyster omelette. One stall that is famous and has lots of order is Hup Kee Fried Oyster Omelette. They offer the portion in three different prices, started from SGD 6 (for one person), SGD 8 (for two persons), and SGD 10 (for sharing). After ordering and paying, they will give us a kind of small alarm that will ring when your our food is ready, so that we could come back to the stall and take the food. We waited for almost 30 minutes (even until we finished ordering and eating another food)! I also came and asked for several times to the uncle at the stall if our order is finished, but he always said that it was still in the cooking process. Huffttt.. After such a long waiting time, finally the alarm rang, and we could enjoy the oyster omelette when we almost full ? The oysters are served on the top of the omelette. It is served with chili sauce. I love that big and chewy oyster! However, the omelette is too oily.

Tasty oyster omelette with crispy egg and dough, fresh plump oysters and nice chilli! Uncle was so nice, sent the food personally as I was alone watching over the food as friend went to collect other food, and beeper rang non-stop. P/S: The limes were not part of this dish.

Crispy, tasty ? and Oysters aplenty. (Photo shows: $6 Fried Oysters) Do I need to say more?? Prepare to wait for at least 20mins during meals timing.

It’s hard to find good oyster omelette in Singapore. This is one of the shop that can give u quality and fresh Oysters and the egg is crispy. Recommended ??to give it a try. And good thing the shop opens till midnight, and I’m here just about 11pm-12am. Good for supper time.

This is my go to oyster omelette stall at Newton circus out of so many there. Oysters are quite large. Plump, juicy. Chilli is fantastic. The sourness cuts the oil. And I like it that they give 2 plates of chilli. Not stingy at all and to me, it’s a way to say that they are proud of it. Unlike some stalls that will limit how much chilli you take.

Oyster Omelette. A go to oyster omelette stall for me, this is a dish that the crazy rich asians cast forgot to order and showcase. Worth making a trip down for in my opinion.

Standard has dropped. Oysters are clearly not as large as before... And on comparison to the Geylang branch. Luckily the taste is still good. Be prepared to wait 30-40mins. It's difficult to get a table at Newton Circus during peak hours.

Good for tourists who don’t know any better. Isn’t the same anymore. Not worth the wait and certainly not worth the attitude. Asked us to wait for 45min which we gladly did. They forgot the order and it came after waiting 1 hour. They said it’s not their fault and if we were in such a rush, we should have known and not ordered. Food wise, omelette lacked the “wok hey” flavour, and was quite oily. Dish was just generally very flat. Sad that it’s a shadow of what it used to be.
