I believe many come here just for the sambal belcan chilli paste which compliments the fresh and smooth fish slices cooked in a light clear soup base. If you are a spice lover, this might help you get your kick. :)
Expect queue up to 30 people during morning peak but the queue moves reasonably fast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly not recommended unless you have the extra $$ to shell out and feed the lady boss. $5 fish soup is equivalent to $3 quantity, whereas $10 is more like $5. The fish is sparse and they add lots of veg to increase the net quantity. There are long queues because we love their chilli but in the past 3 months, the queues have been more than halved because the lady boss and staff directed by her refuse to refill our chilli and imposing a limit of 1 refill. That 1 refill only gives you half the quantity you initially received. I also noticed there have been more staff hired recently - business must be good if you’re not giving the customers their value for money right?

Really like how they added fried garlic to their soup . Can really taste the flavour in the chilli . Price is definitely a little on the high side but worth the queue and quality . Rather than paying less and feeling shortchanged by what you receive
