Good to hear that they now allowed walk in basis, only in the morning (8am-11am). However, I was disappointed to experienced that I came early in the morning at 8am, only to be informed by an unfriendly staff to come back 4 days later with an “appointment” form/card issued. They could have done a better system, want appointment based, sure but please allow us to do in advanced via online!! How about those poor elderly or people who probably fought for their leave and off day this…

Passport renewal process: Positive: Online appointment system. Could be better: Waiting time (book online) is at least two months, no exception?. There should not be a significant delay (2-3 months) if able to renew passport online, 1-2 weeks as advertised by automated email from Immigration department. The online renewal system is troublesome and most people fails for their photos. Collection of passport should be within 2 hours as in Malaysia, not next day. Another queue and slow process of fingerprint scan and old fashion ink too?. Fix the clock inside the lounge. “Malu bos ku”

- 13 Oct 2021 (Wed) is passport collection but i missed the date because email went into junk mailbox - 14 Oct I called 62350111 (waited 20min) and she advised that i can still go collect at the same time slot, which is stated on the email, on the following workday ie 15 Oct Fri. Step on 15 Oct: 1) Show appointment email to guard at right side of guardhouse to enter (Left side of guardhouse is for people with enquiries) 2) My appointment is 11am to 12noon slot - Counter 1 is right side door - - Q very long at 10.45am (see photo 1) - - I come out at 11.15am, no Q (see photo 3) - left side door is for counter 10 & 11 or exit (see photo 2), 3) Left thumb print for digital Right thumb print for ink on application form - Only need ic & current passport (to cut code away), - no need receipt or any other email

My mother is over 60 yrs old. Went down and got priority queue no need appointment. The guards are helpful and patient. Got it done smoothly within 15min. I was really relieved that it was so smooth. Collection is next day afternoon. ?

Here for Consular. (Passport no Q) Q for 45min just to get form, started from 845am with a 9am appointment. You need to identify your name in their appointment list, and strike it with highlighter. NO APPOINTMENT NO CAN DO. The officer there will check you document first before giving you the respective forms - Borang K must use black ink pen (provided) - JPN form can use either black or blue ink Suggest to get Q number before complete the form as many do so while the officer suggest otherwise. Please fill up the back of borang K too, even the sample borang K only have 1 side (you will receive one sample copy with English translation for those don’t understand Malay) Issue with renunciation is the checklist (point 5) is not accurate. Please bring 2 copies of your PR. If not, remember to bring your physical PR (punched) card, so that you photocopy at passport side. Last resort, you would need to walk out, about 10min to get it print out with one piece $1, the second image would be the guidance. Once you get the Q number, for my experience is 15 in Q takes about 30min to be serve, so overall takes about 2 hours plus, including walking out to get PR copy printed. Come back 3 days later for collection. Update:- Collection starts at 230pm but I’m here 15min before. The collection takes about 5min, from the moment they starts operation. Thus suggest no need to come earlier. 8months later to come collect Borang K, also collect at noon time.

Did my passport renewal online and came here with appointment letter to collect new passport. Collection of passport only take less than 30mins. Do bring along old passport and IC. Just show the appointment letter via phone to the guard lady will do, everyone is approaching her so be patient for your turn. There are few people went there without knowing passport renewal only be done via online nowadays, do tell them and share the updates! Take care!

Needs to hv improvements in the system. Took me 6 months finally to receive my renewal passports. One of the lady at the counter staff was very rude to an old lady. Instead of explaining nicely, the old lady had been shouted to book online for her 2 yrs extention passport.

Booked appointment 3months ago. Review as of 3June2022: Guess their procedure different every time? In my case I just show the security officer my appointment letter(printed out), given passport application to fill(bring pen along)& go to counter 11 (or 10 depends on which counter open). They will give you queue number for the payment&photo taking. Waited 2hours+ for my turn. Collection 3 working days later PS: Some says need photocopy of your IC but not in my case. They have photo booth & photocopy machine too! And..remember bring exact payment $63 (though many say is $64) no change provided! Update on collection day: Reached 2:30pm & started to queue. One officer come and collect our appointment paper(same queue number paper). Waited one hour stand queuing before my turn. Overall not bad experience.
