Hilltop Garden Restaurant - 91 Bukit Batok West Ave 2

I was there yesterday for the dinner buffet to celebrate one of my friend's birthday. 3 of us plus FOC for the birthday person. The taste of the food are okay but some dishes are cold and some are too dry after deep frying. The portion are small but just right so we can order a variety to try. They served the dishes quite promptly after we placed our order but to get their attention was a tad bit difficult as the tables are fully seated with customers but they're were only like 5 waiter and waitresses, except for the bubble soya which I have to keep asking for it when other tables can get theirs right after they were seated.

Very bad...I nvr expected this type of service especially when you are trying to get your customers back after the pandemic. Food - not to shout about. Just normal coffeeshop standard. Service - terrible. I am attending a wedding but my mood was spoilt to the max. Food was served as if we are delaying their report off timing. Plates were stacked up without clearing the old ones. Always asking you if you are finished with the food even when the food is still yet to touch. Overall, there are better restaurant with way better service than this. I will nvr come back to this place or even recommend this place for any function.

Went there for a weekend buffet lunch for $34.80 per-pax excluding gst and service charge fee of 10%. Ordered almost the entire menu lol! Some hits and some misses but mostly good. Just to name a few of the good ones, e.g. fried rice, mee suah, smoked duck, garlic pork belly, char siew, teriyaki fried fish, chilli crab, cordyceps prawn, salted egg prawn, sweet sour pork, etc. The cod fish, roasted chicken, sambal kangkung, buddha jump over the wall, thai fried chicken, wasabi roasted pork, braised pork in steamed bun, and fried spring roll, not so great. The setting and dining environment is in a wedding restaurant. The props and deco are still there. Just something to take note of. Not a romantic setting that you would bring your gf unless you plan to get married after the meal. They also offer free dining for birthday month, just show them your IC and that will do. Overall happy with the experience, service is quite fast despite full house as they do not have shortage of waiter and waitress. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Attended a wedding dinner here. Venue was quite nice. No pillars blocking and ceiling high. Servers were professional and efficient. Food was ok. The guy controlling the spotlight for bridal march in and sound system could do with some improvement

Am surprised that this Crystal Ballroom is built and decorated nicer than some of the hotel ballrooms I've visited. High ceiling, spacious and with no pillar blocking any view. The dishes by the restaurant was also very delicious. Enjoyed the wedding lunch that day.

Had our wedding dinner here and it was an exceptional experience. The staff really took the initiative to look after me as a bride, and took care of the sequence of events patiently and expertly whenever we were lost and unsure of what to do. They also enforced rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner which was important as some restaurants or event staffs can get quite nasty and rude about it. The food was great and portion was satisfying. Will return here for another meal soon

Nice tasty food with small portion for buffet. So I can taste a variety of food. Seafood are fresh and well cooked. Enjoyed my meal, especially the chilli crab. Lunch time very empty. Very friendly staff.

The cold dish was great (5 stars). The shark fins soup was okay (3 stars). The chicken was not good, some parts like the breast meat were overly salty (2 stars). The fish was average (3 stars). Prawns were better than average (3.5 stars). Scallops were great (4.5 stars). Efu noodle was commendable (4.5 stars). Red bean dessert was okay (3 stars).
