Food always tastes really good. I especially like their sweet & sour range, be it fish or pork, the meat is always crispy and delicious. Other dishes that I’ve tried are all well seasoned and very appetising. However, I must agree that the service isn’t the friendliest. The food does make up for that.

Ordered bee hoon for dinner. When I ask for extra plate and chopstick the owner rudely told us she is busy and if there is anything else tell her now. While eating, we found long hair and insect in the food. I informed the owner. She didn't apologise and ignored me. If you go to the back of the shop you will see the cook is cooking the food while the door is wide open near the car park. Anyone can access the kitchen easily and this include rodent and insects.

I wished there was a possibility of giving zero stars. Food wise there is really nothing to shout about. They tasted like mixed rice, but just that it came from a tze char stall. Staff with extremely bad attitude and literally ignored my mum when she gave some feedback on the lemon chicken. I found them very rude throughout the dining experience.

Extremely poor service during dinner. Waited for one hour for three packets of noodles (when told estimated time was 15-30mins). Questionable selection of orders to fulfill as takeaways seem to keep waiting while dining in customers who arrived much later were served consistently. No sense of understanding from staff when asked about order status. Lacking in taste as well but mee goreng was priced expensively. The serving portion was also very small. Absolutely will not visit again.

I would have posted half a star if it is possible. Ordered the fish head steamboat (grouper) and what a mistake it was. Fish was stale and the soup was over-peppered with excessive amount of MSG. Perhaps it is the CNY period, but any chef with his pride would never serve such a dish. It was truly disappointing given that is their signature dish. Also ordered crab but though the crab sauce was sweet and acceptably tasty, there is just not enough crab meat. Pincer was almost hollow. The only thing acceptable was the prawn paste chicken but tbf if you can't get that right, then I'm not sure what else can be done.

Most unpleasant experience ever! Our family of 6 was just booted out of a table that supposedly belongs to the zi char stall (Hong Kong Street Old Chun Kee), even though we were going to order some dishes from them. Why? Because we wanted to order BBQ stingray from another stall within the same coffeeshop, which is an item this zi zhar stall also has. I've never experienced this in other coffeeshops. As long as we order from the zi zhar stall, we are free to order from other stalls. I guess the kicker was really the order taker's attitude, this woman with a ponytail. My elderly dad is also here, and she just booted us without a glance, and tore our order in front of us. Win! Of course when we got a table eventually, which is to share with another 2 customers, we ordered from every other stall. The drinks stall folks were really nice - - took the initiative to stack a bigger tabletop for our 8-pax table. Thumbs up!

If you compare with the other branches, you'll realise that only this store has so little stars, and with good reason. Very stingy with the chili. Told the older woman at the counter we wouldn't be coming back because of the service and she said it wouldn't affect their earnings. Never heard this line before. Don't expect anything if you decide to eat here.
