Brought my Japanese friends here many years ago, they actually requested to visit this place again. They love crabs so we ordered 2 flavors, chilli and bee hoon style. We also had a small long bean fried, a salted egg chicken, a fish maw soup. The tab comes up to $120. They enjoyed it very much.

The har Cheong gai and fermented fried pork were very good. The San lou hor fun is not too shabby as well. Have tried a variety of dishes here and it has never disappointed.

We really enjoyed our food here; prawn paste chicken, cereal prawn, bitter gourd pork ribs, sam lo hor fun, fried fish bee hoon & fish maw soup. We felt that the taste of all dishes were just right, and not overdone. With the exception of the pork ribs which were on the tough side, though the sauce and cooking made up for it. Heck, even the kopi O here was good. Prices were reasonable against the portions too ?

Ordered a medium sliced fish beehoon soup with a dash of XO, taste was very average and nothing to shout about, I thought the fish soup could have been better. The meat roll was fine and the shrimp paste chicken was excellent. Flushed down with a sour plum drink. Damaged was abt $30 not too bad. Not very crowded for a Saturday evening.

A zichar restaurant that has been around neighborhood for years, but only tried them recently! Their food are generally tasty and satisfying! Chilli Crab 46.00+/pc... Which is reasonable and affordable if you're craving for crab.?? Not too big not too small but fresh enough! No complaints here except the hot sun. +GST, no service charge.

Ordered a variety of dishes for dinner at home, was most impressed with the beef hor fun - full of wok hei! Also liked the fried baby sotong, prawn paste chicken, prawn roll. The crabs were fresh and meaty at $52/pc of approximately 900gm, but I would choose other cooking methods over the fried Beehoon next time, fried Beehoon was quite ordinary. Paiguwang pork was a tad too sweet, home made tofu was passable but nothing spectacular. Yam ring was ok. Gets crowded during peak hours.

Hidden among the old estate that β€œscream” nostalgia, back to the 1970s. A stand alone open air cafe or restaurant which resemble a coffeeshop. Enjoyed the old charm ambience while dinning. The first order was a fried yam paste shape into a circular ring and filled with chicken pop corn and vegetables. For the yam is thick and on the heavier side, vs the more usual lighter fluffy type found, like there are more flour added, overall average but still nice. The bigger surprised was the vegetable and flat rice noodle. The veggie was very fresh, crunchy and no trace of bitterness. Flat rice noodle was served a large portion for 2, very tasty plenty of sliced fish, and wanted to keep eating, but couldn’t finished. Overall must come here again, for the old charm which is fast disapproval in Singapore. Total cost for a dinner for 2 was $34. 5 stars for the overall experience and price. Recommend
