Hong Li Mei Wei Xiao Chi #01-17 Holland Village Market & Food Centre About 11am to 9pm Nope, uncle wasn't resting cause he was too busy with orders. But Uncle was patiently waiting for customers to patronise his stall. Again we were the only customers at dinner time. Came to support (imo) the most underrated stall in this HC again. Outlook of the stall might look normal or messy. But it's a real hidden gem. Helmed by an elderly couple, they sell cai png, snacks and #oldschool #zichar goodies still at very affordable prices. Ordered fried hor fun $3.50 and fried Hong Kong mee $4. Uncle skilfully fired up his wok and fried up a storm! Hor fun had a very good wok hei, chao ta bits! not oily and super delicious. Hong Kong mee was delicious too, not oily and still using real char siew bits which you rarely get now. Both dishes came with 2 large fresh prawns and a fishball with embedded vege bits. Cai poh egg is always a must add-on. Not on the menu but fried to order. Love it with so much cai poh inside and crispy egg edges. Still at $1 only. Came back for more of uncle’s awesome #oldschool #friedrice. Good wok hei. Prawns are big and fresh. Real char siew bits are added (Rarely get this now). $3 only. First time eat his #friedhongkongmee. So fragrant and tasty. Comes with 3 big and fresh prawns and fishball. $4. His cai poh egg is a must-get, very power. Full of cai poh and super delicious. $1. All his zi char dishes are very reasonably priced. Also sells breads and tidbits. Friday dinner time, biz still slow for this elderly couple.
