β β β β β Nice location with free entrance to the Flower Dome. Beautiful ambience. Service from the staff is great.
Afternoon tea does not seem to mesh well. While the pieces taste decent individually, they donβt seem to flow nicely from 1 piece to the next. Could also change it to suit the theme of the Flower Dome.

β β β β β Had a wonderful birthday celebration, all thanks to Cielyn and team at Hortus. Great ambience, great food, wonderful service, we couldnβt ask for more. The fritto misto, pita, hummus and broccolini was fantastic, as was the grilled sea bass and squid ink pasta. We ended out meal with an assortment of desserts, and particularly loved the lemon tart and berry tart. We will definitely be back soon!

β β β β β a 10/10 experience at hortus! started off the night with a buggy service right to the entrance of the restaurant, amazing service and prices are also very reasonable. mud crab pasta ($32++) was nothing special, would recommend the oxtail cuttlefish gratin ($32++), pita and pomegranate dip, which were stand out dishes for us! the best part would be the complimentary entry to the flower dome, perfect for a nice walk after the meal

Food portions were relatively small, with limited savoury options and offerings. Free flow Coffee & Tea was good, plus the view, attentive service and included entry to the Flower Dome after your sitting was a nice added bonus.

β β β β β Hortus is the former Pollen and Fennel Cafe, with a stronger Mediterranean focused menu. We love coming here for the ambience set within the Flower Dome, accompanied by the lovely dishes. There are more plant-based dishes on this menu compared to before. Loved the shakshuka eggs, watermelon salad, eggplant with roasted bell pepper dip, and pistachio date tart. The service was excellent - the folks are ever friendly, patient and recognize repeat customers. The highlight was the buggy ride in from the main entrance.

β β β β β I had a lovely meal today. Special mention to Pamela, who was a great help with my reservation and Celina, who provided meticulous service for me and my parents. The food was excellent, and the location was, of course, a highlight. I went during the Sakura exhibition. Small trees, but they were in full bloom ? Well recommended for an afternoon out.

β β β β β Hortus features some of the best, most unique dishes that are superb in flavour - many leaning towards the intense side - and excellent blends of unexpected ingredients.
Seafood is prevalent at Hortus, and is indeed a great choice for anyone fond of it. Octopus and Seabass are must-tries. Other dishes under Large Plates such as the Sucking Pig are definitely good bets as well.
Pita Bread will be a staple that you might want to order regardless of what mains you choose. Accompanying dips are excellent.
Ambience is simply beautiful, and the restaurant is nested in a cozy corner of Flower Dome. That said, it will get cold as you sit, eat, and chat, so bring along something warm.
Overall highly recommended!

β β β β β Love the experience with the buggy picking you up at the entrance then sending you to the restaurant
Went for their high tea set. Love the tiny details and how the sever came up and explained what each item was
Personally, having high tea with a cool weather and smelling the roses makes me feel like I am overseas. I was there during Rose theme period with a lovely friend.
All in all. I would say it is a must try. At least for once, the scent of the fresh flowers and the savoury set was my favourite ??
