Cedele All Day Dining - Marina Bay Sands

Good place for a rest. Nice tea and desserts available. Service was great too. However, it is not a place for dining imo, there wasnt much to chose from in the menu for mains. Prices are high which was expected considering the location.

I read the reviews before heading down, but I still set myself up for failure by trusting that services have improved. Family went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We placed our order and was told waiting time for food was about 30minutes which we were agreeable to. We ordered 2 mains and 1 coffee. About 25mins passed, I called out for the coffee to be served first as we were getting hungry. To our horror, the waiter came up to us saying that our order wasn’t keyed in the system……… and took our order again. I requested for our ordered to be prioritised in the kitchen if possible. The food came about 15mins later. Food was great! Coffee too. Just that the experience was horrible. I would visit other restaurants in MBS and skip this…

Made a reservation for a Thursday afternoon high tea. Service was below par. Tea was brought without sugar and milk. We had to ask for sugar and milk. The wait staff came with 1 sachet of sugar and some milk for 1 person when there were 3 of us drinking tea. We had asked for stirrer and only 1 teaspoon was brought. We waited for about 20 minutes before the food was served. Overall the food was passable like the chicken tartlet and otah puff. The scone was a big disappointment, lacking the fragrance of butter and it came served with only jam. Cream should have been offered. Would not return for the high tea.

We went on Xmas day. Our first visit to Cedele at Sands. Their menu is quire different from other outlets. But we came for the tea set and we are very happy with it. We chose the soft shell crab sliders and it was a good choice. The Tiramisu serving is big. We had to pack all the sweets home and used the Tiramisu as bread spread. Servers were kind and friendly. Yes we did wait for 30 minutes for our food but we were told before we placed the order. So it is OK for us to enjoy the rest.

The restaurant we wanted to go was fully book so we decided to come to cedele. I read the reviews before deciding to come I though it should not be so bad as what other reviewers said but I was wrong. Service was so bad when we arrived instead of telling us they will get us seated soon they kept us waiting for a good 10 mins a few waitresses saw us but ignored us. Finally they showed us a table they Joey attended to us she said we have to wait for 20mins for our food to be served which we were ok with it. We wanted to order some dessert as they came to us to say they their last order was 8.45pm we asked for the desert menu but Joey told us “the deserts are have are only cakes” but I remembered I saw some plated desert on the menu so in went online to search for their menu since she refused to give us the menu. I ask another waitress to take our desert menu she said sure. Our desert was serve but we were not done with our mains so we ask the same waitress to put out desert in the fridge which she was happy to do it and told us to let her know when we are ready to have i did not get her name but among everyone in the cafe she only was that was nice. We ask to have our table cleared Joey came to clear my friend requested to have her tea top up with hot water after some time she did not come back with the cup my friend was left thirsty because we had a chocolate desert we ask for some hot water again Joey came and saw my cup she wanted to pour water into my cup which had a cold drink in it. ? We realized other tables were given water when they arrived but not our table. Overall very poor service and rude staff. I expect a place like cedele should have some service standards at a place like MBS. Also when we arrived there was a table by the corner empty they did put us there we are a party of 2 they put us in the centre. Later another customer arrive and they put here at the corner table and she was alone i really don’t understand since we are a party of 2 they should put us there. It’s a pity because the beef burger was good although the drink I ordered was label as a mocktail on the menu and it came in a bottle which the menu did not say. I won’t be visiting here again.

We went on a weekday around 3pm, waited about 10-15mins to be seated. I was asked to wait for another customer to leave. The place wasnt crowded, and I noticed a few empty tables with reserve sign with no one sitting (even after we left). Maybe good to make reservation before heading there. Menu selection and price is slightly different from other outlets. Staff did inform us that food takes 30mins to arrive, probably due to many reviews that food takes longer than expected. The servers seems very busy and hardly any smiles from them. I also felt the staff are not well informed of on-going promotions and need to clarify with them. Despite informing cashier that it’s my birthday month, he still didn’t register my privileges. But it was good to notice that their staff are always sanitizing the tables after customers leave. Food quality is better than other outlets, could be due to the pricing too.

Very lucky to get a table without waiting on a Saturday afternoon. The dessert cheesecake with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream is very nice, not very sweet. And the surprise one is the beef burger kids meal, the meat is juicy and my kids love it so much. However, they should get more staff in my opinion for better customer experience.

No long queues today. Came here for dinner. Ordered the Rosemary Sea Salt chicken which was fantastic. So delicious and skin was crispy and meat juicy and tender. The sea salt infuse into the fresh and went together with the pumpkin and veg. 2nd dish is the Corriander Sea Bass Pasta. Surprisingly the fish is super fresh a day tasty too. Staff services were also pleasant. A happy dinner.
