House of White Bee Hoon

Stopover at The Punggol Settlement for lunch after our walk around Punggol Promenade and Coney Island. Headed in to House of White Bee Hoon; ordered the crab bee hoon and prawn rolls. The verdict......Super Yummy and would be looking forward to return for another great meal.

Never come to this place again. We were having our meal and the staff was just sweeping next to us and the broom hit my husband. So I told the auntie, do you know that is not right to do housekeeping when your diners are still eating and no apology were made even after we tell them off. Such a basic manner but need your customer to teach you! You do charge service charge but what kind of service is this?!

The Mala white bee hoon was superb. Definitely will come back. Would have give 4 stars if not for the frozen prawns which was just bland and tasteless. - outdoor seating available - Cash / CC - take away available - fast service

This is not the original white bee hoon that taste so good at Sembawang. The original one has 6 branches but this at Punggol Settlement is not one of them. I was misled and had my dinner with my family on 5 Sep 2021. Firstly, service was terrible. They took orders wrongly, orders took forever to come and when it finally came, the food was completely different from what was shown in picture. Specifically the prawn pancake. Understand that there may be some discrepancies but this felt like a scam. Another few diners seated around us had the same feeling; I heard them giving feedback to the restaurant. Those who bothered to make a scene got their dish replaced. I feedback to the cashier (maybe the lady boss of this imitation outlet) that the prawn pancake was so wafer thin with no meat it was just like a wafer. She rudely said, oh this is our special recipe, supposed to be crispy. I asked then why the picture on the menu had to show a THICK prawn layer since it wasn't meant to be like this, she gave me a death stare. Wow.. okay. I wasn't expecting much already because while I was having my meal, there was another diner who was telling her he got overcharged. He ordered a small portion but was charged a medium portion. She answered that he had already settled the bill and they cleared the table so she would not process the refund. The diner said this was not the right way to operate and she rudely shouted: so what, what can you do and what else do you want!? I felt so bad for that diner and we turned to look at the cashier. It was then she stopped and another colleague stepped in to resolve the issue. I will never return again and will caution diners who wish to eat here. The white bee hoon is not as tasty and the service, is non existent.

Conducive for dining with elderly, best time ~5:30pm as food was served within 15mins of ordered. Friendly staff too. White bee-hoon can be improved, 'dry' too fast.

This is not the original White Restaurant…. And has a very similar name and menu. BUT, I think the food quality is “almost” as good. Really hard to tell the difference. See my pics for some of the dishes I tired!

We visited on a Saturday night and the place was packed! Their specialty white bee hoon has a unique flavor, and is a recommended dish here. However, other dishes were lackluster in comparison - the fish (pictured) was especially bland and lacking in quantity. Staff was efficient but too busy at times. Overall an okay eat.
