β β β β β This place sells really good nasi lemak! Ordered the fish and chicks set to try out both their signature fried chicken cutlet and fried tilapia fish and I preferred the fried chicken cutlet. Overall the ingredients are well marinated and tastes great!

β β β β β New Nasi Lemak place in Bugis Cube.
Ordering was quick as there was no queue. I ordered the beef rendang and it was served in just a few minutes.
The beef was soft and succulent. The rendang sauce was deep and rich along with the rice and soft boiled egg.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Really recommended!

β β β β β Ordered the $14+ sous vide Beef Rendang Nasi Lemak. Not a bad modern execution of a traditional dish, but not outstanding.
Rice lacked the coconut milk fragrance, not lemak. Rendang spices felt lacking, not aromatic or lemak enough and a tad on the sweet side.
Otherwise, other items tasted alright. Chilli was good, spicy yet refreshing, they added special spice/herb to it. Achar was tangy and fresh. Generous serving of ikan bills and peanuts. Egg was cooked to ramen egg standard. Beef was tender (I would be surprised if it wasnβt as they used the sous vide cheat code).

β β β β β The missus read about this place and, knowing that I like nasi lemak, suggested having lunch here.
We ordered the beef rendang and twin chicken wings sets, with extra sides of begerdil and another chicken wing.
The bergedil was tasty and slightly peppery, which I like. The chicken wings were freshly fried and pretty good. The beef rendang was tasty and the beef, while not overly tender, was easy to chew. The rice could have been more lemak though. The anchovies and peanuts were fresh and they added crispy bits to the set, which enhanced the crunch factor.
It is located in the 3rd floor, and has an unassuming decor. Service was pretty fast and good. Do note they take cash and options like Favepay, but no credit cards.

β β β β β A very interesting plate of Nasi Lemak.
This isnβt quite like the usual Nasi Lemak you get anywhere else. Itβs very clear that great attention to detail was given to each and every element of the dish. And frankly, thatβs what youβre paying for.
Food is prepared a la minute, so it does take a little time to arrive at your table. But when it does, everything, especially the protein, is freshly prepared and it tells!
Rice is fluffy and very fragrant. Itβs far more complex than any other Nasi Lemak rice Iβve had. This is elevated by the crumbs from fried stuff which lends fatty flavour and crunch. During my visit, the crumbs were a little stale and a tad less crunchy than what I had expected. The sambal is of a thicker consistency and coats everything well. Itβs well balanced but lack a punch. That said, its flavour makes everything taste better.
The protein of choice was the classic chicken cutlet. Itβs well marinated and the sweetness of the chicken comes through really well - itβs the familiar taste of Chinese style fried chicken that hits the nostalgia button. Over time, however, it can get a little cloy due to the oil thatβs trapped in the batter - can be better.
Onsen egg was definitely seasoned and tad too runny for me - another 20-30 seconds would have been perfect for me. My partner enjoyed the level of runniness though. Achar was average. The peanuts and ikan bilis were crispy.
I think this is worth a visit. Itβs a great experience getting to try different ways of perfecting a dish that is common yet well loved in the region.

β β β β β Hidden inside Bugis Cube, above all the steamboat restaurants lies a small stall selling the fragrant coconut rice.
The chicken cutlet was fried in a thick and crispy batter while the rendang was sous vide to fork tender.
Sadly the spices were not powerful enough and the onsen egg was overcooked.
I've heard high praises but this was not up to it

β β β β β I have been searching for a great Nasi Lemak and Husk Nasi Lemak is delicious. Their Ikan Billis is one of the most crispiest I ever had! The fried chicken is really fresh and crispy!
Their Nasi lemak flavour profile feels unique with their own twist and style. It is very different from the usual Nasi Lemak that I have. They provide Onsen egg instead of regular sunny side up eggs.
However today when I ate their Nasi Lemak, the flavour of the coconut rice is not as fragrant as I expected. It took me awhile to identify the coconut fragrance in the Nasi Lemak.
My friend who has been there recommended me here today. He suggested that the standard for today slightly drop, maybe is a missed of ingredients? He tell me that I should come again and give it a try again as he said the first time he ate, the rice was one of the best he ever had.
Just purely based on the experience I had today, I have to rate a 4 star. However I still recommend this outlet to those who wants to enjoy a more elegant Nasi Lemak.

β β β β β Ordered the chicken cutlet and was pleasantly surprised. Rice was rather fragrant but isnβt overwhelmingly strong. Chilli isnβt too sweet either.
The chicken was super juicy and tasted fresh despite the chicken shortage. They used the Japanese soy egg instead, which was a nice change from the typical fried egg.
To top it off, The crispy bits enhances the flavour of the entire dish with the additional texture
