Ratu Lemper - 31 Arab St

Must say this is the best 娘惹糕 I ever had in Singapore!! Much better than Bengawan sola!! Bengawan sola is already good enough, but this one is even better. Must try when you are in Singapore!!! Near the famous attractions in bugis. Must try!!

The lemper is so so so good, tried the satay-flavored one today (not available everyday) and the meat was flavorful and absolutely delicious. $6.80 for 3 pieces in a box. Loved the gula melaka in the ondeh ondeh as well as the fragrant coconut shavings. Would have been perfect if the ondeh skin was thinner. $3 for 5 pieces. Slightly pricy but definitely worth a try!

Amazing lemper and kuehs! The lemper is really flavourful and my family love it so much. Ondeh ondeh was also full of molten gula melaka that burst in your mouth. The pandan flavour of the kosui and kue bakar was really strong and fragrant. The prices are also reasonable and service was attentive.

Small yet packed with hand and somewhat home-made goodness. Recommend the nutella rolls or kuih tapak kuda. A bit pricey, but you'll be hooked once you tried it. The other offerings are superb too, the glutinous rice filled with savoury and spicy fillings and other kuihs. Enjoy.

Came across this shop in Arab Street. Never tried a Lemper before decided to pop in to see. Lemper was the main item they were selling, but there were also quite a few other kuehs displayed on the shelves. Took a while before deciding to try the ayam one. I took the non spicy one but the shop assistant told me she would recommend the spicy one if I could take chilli. Took her advice but I didn't get the very spicy one only took the mild one. Also got a box of ondeh and Salat. Was out around having meal then took out the items and realised the Lemper I got was rendang! I went back to the shop after the meal and asked for an exchange she agreed without hesitation and gave me a dollar refund. I didn't even know the chicken one was cheaper. They do have the problem of people walking into the shop picking the items up and putting it elsewhere. Quite an interesting experience trying the Lemper. Was spicy but pretty acceptable for me. Loved the ondeh such a small piece but with loads of gula melaka inside. Salat was not bad but the green portion was a little too tough for my liking. Nice interesting shop with some Indonesian delicacies to try.

The Lemper here is great even though it's not grilled. The glutinous rice is soft and tasty. Tried all the fillings, spicy chicken, satay mutton and beef rendang. All are good but I like the rendang the most. Other things from the shop is just so so except for the belinjo emping great and worth the premium prices.

It's so difficult to find Lemper Ayam in Singapore and finally I found a shop selling Lemper Ayam while walking around Arab Street. The taste is authentic and delicious. Love it! Must try the Pulut Kuning and the kueh kueh too. The staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. Highly recommended!

By chance ran into this little shop selling Indonesian snacks and kueh. Very nice presentation and packaging. They sell a variety of dry snacks as well as fresh made kueh including lemper, rice balls with coconut and gula melaka, tapioca and coconut, etc. You have several choices of fillings for the lemper. They also sell kueh lapis with a variety of flavors.
