★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've taken a Smartphone Videography course organized by The Hustle at 111 Somerset Road. This was a 3 day course. While the trainer was highly knowledgeable and passionate about imparting his skills, this course has fallen short of expectation as too much time and emphasis was focused on the evolution of cameras, cinema camera, light placements which many of the participants felt was not necessary as we were there to learn about smartphone videography. This course could have been condensed to just 1 - 2 days, if not, the course content should be revised to put in a lot more practices to teach students how to video food in a restaurant or cafe, the various creative phone videography techniques instead of the basic panning and tilting angles only. The time spent on video editing could have been a lot more detailed too. I hope the team designing the content for this course would listen to the feedback of the participants and make the necessary changes for the subsequent courses.
