Jalan Besar

The actual walking distance between Jalan Besar Station (DT22), which is next to Sim Lim Tower, and Rochor Station (DT13), which is next to Sim Lim Square, is 450 metres. And yet, some superbly ingenious team of planners/engineers/town or transport managers from dunno which yet incredibly fantastic G department went and decided that it would be oh-so-wonderful if they could put not 1 station,not even 2 stations,but a whole NINE OTHER stations in between these 2 stations,so that the trip from rochor to jalan besar would be that much more longer and therefore so much more enjoyable for the train commuters. One word to describe this....DUUUUUH. ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️

Its a very convenient MRT station that is located near many eateries and other MRT lines. This station was also recently opened as such most of the lifts and escalators are as well. If you are ever feeling hungry or thirsty there is a small convenience store located one floor above the ticketing area

It's now so much easier to get to Jalan Besar from the East..... Another good point is, it's underground and air-condition which suits very well in our hot climate in Singapore.

It was a good place this mrt central place of Little India. Nearby is Sim Lim tower and Simlim square . Recently constructed. Very beautiful inside the mrt. Out view is nice

Very long street stretching from Lavender at one end to Rochor at another , possibly 2 km. Very diverse range of shops from electrical shops to new cafes. Interesting shophouse architecture and streetscape
