$4 for a small bak chor mee, $1 just to add noodles.
Dingji used to be $3.5, 50¢ to add noodles.
Why would I pay more if the quality is so much worst?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice mee pok. Usually I will go to simpang bedok for ah lim or lau lim mee pok. Now it's nearer to where I live so can eat more often. Taste wise about the same except they put in mushroom.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are quite a few stalls with the Jalan Tua Kong ah lim mee pok branding but not very sure which is the authentic one out there.
Apperantly this is a relatively new stall as there is still a big banner promoting the opening or the stall. Beside the standard meepok, they served laksa as well
Price for the basic bowl of mee pok starts from SGD$4 onwards, the SGD$5 and 6 version comes with prawns.unlike the usual ah lim mee pok i eat else where, they garnish their noodle with braised mushroom. Somehow their mee pok tasted more like the teochew version which added quite a bit of vinegar into the sauce.
Overall, quite a decent bowl of noodle but wont say its the most authentic ah lim mee pok

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rude guy cooking at the stall dunno if he’s the boss..Say I didn’t speak up when his making all the noise from his cooking..didn’t bother to stop or pause to listen to me..anyway ordered the $5 Mee Poh though would be more serving for me..but I was disappointed I needed to go McDonald to get double cheese burger meal later.. taste is rather average although the soup taste nice.
