★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yummy budget putien cuisine! Love the lor mee and stir fried yam (which is even better than the Michelin Putien's one!)... Overall the food is not too far from the Michelin Putien standard esp. given the lower price point.
Don't recommend the tofu skin and kale tho.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sambal fried rice is pretty shiok and the portion is big as well. I love xinghua bee hoon here too. Almost as good as putien at a fraction of the price. Definitely will patronize again. Their chilli is good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried Xiao Pu Tien restaurant dishes. First time here... The first dish which caught my eye was the Loh Mee. I tried Loh Mee at Pu Tien Restaurant before and wanted to compare if there is any difference... the taste, ingredients of Xiao Pu Tien very similar to Pu Tien. Verdict: Delicious and at an affordable price range of $5,$8 and $12! The sambal kangkong was yummy too! Will definitely visit this place again to enjoy a bowl of yummy loh mee...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden gem. My fav pu tien dish is the stir fry yam so that is my benchmark for an unassuming stall called small pu tien restaurant. And holy did it deliver. For half the price of the 1 star michelin restaurant, this is more fragrant and the sweet coating is on point. Other dishes are not bad too. Service is quite friendly though not v prompt since it was crowded when I was there.. def a must try

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chance upon this eatery near the tampines round market that specialize in Heng hua cuisine. it is nearer if you enter by the 2nd carpark.
Like all heng hua eatery, they have the standard dishes like the lor mee and bee hoon. They also have a few other signature dishes. Ordered the lychee sweet and sour pork, Garlic and fried chicken as the stir fried bean skin with kale.
The outstanding dish has to be the stir fried bean skin with kale. the other 2 dish was normal and had better one elsewhere.
Would like to come back in the future to try their lor mee!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice family kopitiam setting. Non aircon but today's weather was so cold, hence it was a pleasant dining experience. Food was yummy. Pricing was on a average side, fish was expensive though and took a while to be served. Service is reasonable. Overall, recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Straightforward Heng Hwa cuisine located near Tampines round market. Menu's avail in S,M,L portions. First visit. Ordered all small plates to share as we wanted to try a bit of everything. Had Lor Mee, Fried Bee hoon, Fried Tenggiri fish, fried caramelised yam cubes, sweet sour lychee pork, braised bean curd and pork jelly. Verdict: tasty, heartwarming, value-for-money Putian food. We arrived early on a weekend dinnertime and snagged the remaining 3 tables before they got busy with dine-in/takeaways from 630pm. Coming back to try other dishes.
