★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very famous and hearty bowl of laksa!
To dine in, approach the “queue lady” who’s in charge of assigning tables to diners. You will be assigned a seat and your order will be taken at your table.
? laksa is really good, feels really clean and not heavy on coconut milk, yet still retaining its smell and most importantly taste - the smell can be detected from a mile away!
? while it’s not the most value for money at $5/7, it definitely is well worth the money for the quality it commands
Definitely my favourite laksa chain around now that I have also tried the one at Katong ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the better laksa in Singapore and it’s one of my favourite! The chicken cutlet rice with curry is worth a try as well!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Famous for laksa, ordered a bowl: its has authentic tatse, less milky, less gelat and still retain the fragrance of lakasa. The fishcake are sliced into small pieces, its well cooked taste soft and smooth. Noodles are cut so it could fit into the spoon and makes it easy to eat with spoon.
Ordered the otah ,its soft and tasty, and not spicy?
Ordered lime juice too
Craving for second bowl now?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decided to give the "best" laksa taste test a go. Headed down to this mall that has both Janggut and 328, situated practically face-in-your-face at the main atrium. Janggut's version is mildly spicy, not super lemak, has a nice touch of umami, and that special "refreshing" herbal fragrance and taste to it. I can't really tell what it is, perhaps a mix of ulam raja, curry leaves, mint, even basil? Anyways, I prefer this version as I felt that I can polish off a whole bowl of it, and won't end up feeling "jelak". Conclusion, both laksa are delish, just that it's interpreted differently.

This is a really popular laksa stemming from the og Katong laksa. I personally acknowledge that laksa prepared in this style simply isn’t for everyone. It is robust, rich and creamy. Each scoop is a great combination of the ingredients that make up this great dish.
Service here can be really chop chop. Don’t fret if you’re here for the first time, you will be guided by the “instructions” given by the ladies here.
Food is served very promptly and hot. It’s advisable to try the laksa before adding the sambal as the flavour combination isn’t always for everyone.
Overall, I’m satisfied but definitely not blown away. As much as I enjoyed it, it’s a little costly due to the relatively small portion size. However, the strong flavours can be surfeiting. Personally, I do enjoy laksas with a soupier broth that I can consume separately as well. Definitely worth a try though!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was seated immediately when I visited at 1pm, likely because I'm a single diner as bigger groups had to queue. The auntie (lady) will come around and take your food and drinks order. Payment is after food is served. Relatively fast service and most people don't hang around after eating anyways.
1 small bowl of laksa costs $6 and there were about 6 pieces of cockles inside. Additonal charge is at $2 per serving if I'm not wrong. Noodles are cut small so you can eat with a spoon. Continued to clear out the bowl after the picture. Overall was good, satisfied my laksa craving!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been a long time since I came back, tastes the same as ever. For someone who is bad at tolerating spicy food, this is great (I didn’t mix the chilli in, happy that the sambal came as a side and not mixed). Their chicken curry is so good too, I would even say it’s better than the laksa.
Edit: went back a week later to try their curry properly, still so good and consistent ? would recommend getting more rice though
