★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their dry Mee Hoon Kuay far exceeded my expectations.
The soup was umami-filled warmth and deliciousness with a perfectly cooked egg blossom, the noodles were qq and the mala sauce was not just any messy hot and numbness, the fragrance of the huajiao that filled your sense of smell when you stir the hot noodles with the sauce is oh so heavenly. What impresses me the most is the sliced pork. It's easily one of the best I had in hawker food - they are juicy and soft. So so good. Well worth the $6.50. sorry no pictures cos eating this delicious beauty was more important than taking pics.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the worst MHK I’ve ever eaten. The soup has a bad wok hey/truffle/burnt taste and can’t even taste the fragrance of the soup base at all. I understand they are trying to make it as a unique selling point or modernised the traditional MHK but It’s way too off from the original taste and can’t taste anything other than the burnt taste. Even the meat, vege , noodles , mushroom etc has the burnt taste.
Noodles are super dry and sauce is not dark enough as you can see from this picture. Portion is small too. Will not visit again . There are much better MHK out there

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the dry version of #MeeHoonKway (hand-torn noodle) from @jiak_song. It also came with a small bowl of soup with egg in it. The kway texture was chewy, not too thick, and the rest of the ingredients like sliced pork, ikan billis, meat ball, prawn ball tasted pretty standard. The dark sauce under the kway is not salty or sweet, I need to keep adding chilli sauce when I eat to make it flavourful. Overall still a good bowl of MHK, will definitely come back again. ? And lastly, I like their name #JiakSong (吃爽), it’s like eating for the “Shiokness” of the MHK and not to feel very full after eating. ?✋

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The soup was mild, and the noodle wasn't the best I had. The meatball was not flavourful, and I was expecting more from their shrimp ball.
I ordered the signature ban mian, and sadly, the portion was so small.
The Bian mian cost $5.50.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another famed Mee Hoon Kway opening here in this coffee shop, bringing about a constant stream of crowd.
Soup Mee Hoon Kway - Noodles weren’t the best, soup base isn’t flavourful, and it isn’t a big portion overall too.
For that price point, I think it needs to have either a better quality or quantity..
