Delicious Hai Lam Curry rice with good variety of selections, at affordable prices. Be prepared for long queue, as this stall is well known and popular with local residents and nearby estates.

Long queue especially between 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Curry sauce not up to my expectation. Limited Dishes offered. Though it is called curry rice, the chicken curry taste was not flavour enough. I liked the fried crisy pork and the ikan bilis and peanuts.

Presentation doesn't do this food justice and my experience for curry rice, well just gravy and I can't taste any curry aromatic. I join the Q, giving it a try. That piece of fried meat was crazy amazing, I'm so confused if I'm eating sliced meat, bacon or chicken skin. Its definitely addictive and compliment well with beer

Nice & value for $ curry rice. Be prepared to queue from the moment the stall is opened for business.

Extremely popular curry rice place in Tanglin Halt. The queue is extremely long during opening hours but moves pretty fast. It costs around $13 for the dishes we have bought. I feel that the other curry rice nearby I.e. in Beo Crescent and Tiong Bahru are a lot better. But I really enjoyed the ikan bilis and pork chop here. The rest of the dishes are quite average.

I was overcharged for a plate of 3 dishes -fish, veggies and potato. I was charged $9 for it! The taste of the food is horrible too. The packet is NOT wrapped up with rubber band. There are no chopsticks and only 1 plastic spoon for take away. I will never ever eat there again.

Wanted to try chef's hainanese western but it was not open and Jin Shu Shi was the only stall open in the vicinity at 7pm. Saw that most of the diners there were eating off their plates so took a closer look at the stall. It being open only from 5.30pm to 9pm intrigued me and I decided to give it a try. Ordered their fried pork chop, cabbage, sweet and sour pork and steamed meat ball (total $5.50). Was quite satisfied by the taste of all the items. One thing that really stood out for me was that their rice is still warm and not room temperature. This really elevated the dish.

There will always be an epic queue here at 5.00pm. Mind you, this place opens at 5.30pm. The queue is not even a standing queue. The elderlies in this neighbourhood will queue by sitting down near the stall. (And in a random order too.) You won't be able to tell where the queue starts and ends unless you ask them where it does. Simple fare at an affordable price. The pork crisps are delicious. However I think the Beo Crescent Curry Rice is still better. This one might be cheaper and down-to-earth.
