No lard given? Prawns are big though but noodle portion feels smaller than chomp chomp. Oyster omelette is sourish i suspect already spoilt, now having diarrhea.

Be prepared to wait long long time to eat this hokkian mee. $5 buys you decent portion with 3 whole prawns(de-veined)and pork meat wet style hokkian mee which is delicious and really rich in flavour. While it is $5, it is considered value for money when compared to many other places giving either half prawns or 2 only for $5 price. Chilli nothing to shout about, pretty normal. 4 stars instead of 5 because all 3 of my mid size prawns were mushy and not fresh

Paid $5 for a plate of fried hokkien mee. There were 3 whole prawns. Taste of noodles was average. But the sotong were totally no taste. The pork strips were hard too. Worst of all, the old uncle dropped his spatula while frying the noodle! Then he just rinsed it under the tap. From his expression, it seemed that there was no passion in cooking. Another old uncle also didn't bother to change the paper (for putting the food on it) which had flew away from the tray and landed on a pail. He just picked it up and then put it back on the tray. No sense of hygiene.

This stall sells the traditional carrot cake, oyster omelette and hokkien Mee. In the morning, they sell mainly carrot cake. There will be this uncle there who cooks it fresh, and there are usually a lot of people who order it. The white one looks really good, and the portion is generous for just $3. (Might snap a photo next time) In the noon, there is another person selling hokkien Mee, which looks good as well, but I didn't get to try it. Might try another time. Would come here for the carrot cake again definitely! Of course it doesn't compare to the best, but I think it is slightly average. The chilli is good as well. Look forward to trying hokkien Mee and oyster omelette next!

There was a queue forming up shortly after I ordered, but when I finally tasted the FHM, I had this thinking that most of them really didn't tried those much better FHM out there and choose to eat from this stall. My verdict, taste wise below average, better to spend my $5 on other food.

Big prawns (albeit not deveined ?), quite generous with ingredients... yummm. Queue can be quite long. FHM does take time to cook for the flavor to seep into the noodles. Did you see the crispy pork lard? (YES!!! ?)
