A lot of nice food here! I always come here for the Hakka Thunder Tea Rice, ๆฒณๅฉ†ๅฎขๅฎถๆ“‚่Œถ, authentic and tasty, also comes with a brown rice version that makes it even healthier. The prawn noodles stall and the char siew stall is also very flavourful. For simple snacks, thereโ€™s stalls selling Tiong Bahru kweh stuff, tutu, yam cake and those traditional Peanut pancake. On top of that, thereโ€™s many other nice food choices, such as Scissors cut curry rice, chicken porridge, yong tau fu, chinatown claypot rice and assorted soya bean curds selection. A great place for food! Takeaways are just as tasty! Surrounding it, thereโ€™s also a lot of shops and fruit stalls. Only shortcoming is the hygiene of the place. And crowded despite social distancing measures.

Super crowded market cum hawker place... stall vendors lined up by the sides, long queues inside the hawker centre, inside the market also crowded with aunties bargaining over 60cts charges ! Love this place !

Continued the Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore 2021 journey over on the western side of the country. Has been more than 20 years since this Hawker Centre was last visited. Soh Kee Cooked Food is a shop that specialises in Steamed White Chicken and Porridge. This popular stall serves very quickly, keeping the queues short. However, due to their popularity, their Steamed Chicken sells out very quickly, usually by lunchtime. The popularity of this stall is evident in the many tables along the stretch in front of it with their bright green bowls and plates at almost every table. A deserving recipient of the Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore award. Jian Bo Tiong Bahru Shui Kueh is branch of the original shop at Tiong Bahru. Serving Chwee Kueh, Rice Dumplings and various other Steamed Rice snacks. Their simple food makes it a good snack for in between meals. Sadly this branch has no Wow Factor and again throws up the decision on how this place got the Michelin Bib Gourmand award.

My favourite hawker with a wide varieties of local food. Recommendation 1. Wanton noodle stalls (e.g. Koh Kee, Long Kee) here have a very unique Cantonese taste that can't be found elsewhere. At least 3 stalls have similar taste. Try them all to see which one is your favourite. Be early though as they are usually sold out by early afternoon. 2. Bugis Street Beef Kway Teow The noodle soup portion is large for $4.50. Beef meat is tender and the soup is tasty too. 3. Ngoh Hiang (Ming Fa Shou Shi) I like to order Ngoh Hiang (ไบ”้ฆ™) here as there are a lot of varieties to choose. Beehoon is not salty and it goes well with the all the dishes. Must ask for the special sauce to go with it. 4. Hainese White Chicken with Porridge (Soh Kee Cooked Food) This is my favourite too when I want a good plain porridge with Hainese chicken. Chicken is tender and soft. Recently it is a Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmet list. 5. Tutu Keuh My children's favourite when they were young. 6. Ice Kachang and other local desserts A familar childhood dessert that is both refreshing and cooling on a hot day. Others include claypot rice, bah ku teh, vegetarian bee hoon, fishball noodle, chwee kway, white carrot cake, slice fish soup etc. You will find something you like whether it is for breakfast, tea, lunch or dinner. One trip is never enough...

A popular place where we can find varieties of local good food, a place that shouldn't be missed for foodie lovers! Fresh seafood, meat and veggies at a reasonable price we can get from the wet market. Running 24/7 for fruit stalls and Value Dollar Shop which opened not long ago just by the market.

Ordered a plate of minced pork and fishball noodles for $3.50. The noodles was in a big portion and the chilli was quite spicy for me. Somehow I find the fish cake slices a bit bland (no taste of the usual fish cake). The fishballs tasted normal. One thing unusual was the minced pork - it was so minced that it tasted powdery instead of the usual. I would prefer the usual to be honest. Maybe Iโ€™ll try out other stalls the next time.
