Tian Tian Xiang Popiah - 640 Bukit Batok Central

搬來bukit batok 三年，薄餅價格從我剛來時1.3元，後來漲到1.4元，現在又漲到1.5元，今天去買薄餅，老闆是個uncle，戴著手套拿其它東西，後來脫下手套，直接用手把薄餅放進打包盒，非常不衛生。

I've been coming here since I was a kid. Now that I've moved away, I try to make it a point to come back down every few months to buy the popiah again. The price has increased quite a bit over these few years but it can't be helped since raw material prices have been going up. Auntie tries her best to keep prices low. The popiah is never ever soggy (unless you leave it in a box for an hour or something). It's the perfect balance of moist and dry, such that the popiah skin and little crispy bits in there stay crunchy. I recommend the spicy version - not overpowering, but still good enough to give a bit of kick. Taste-wise, Auntie has kept it consistent for over a decade and it's the perfect popiah place to me and many others who grew up in Batok. I hope she keeps it up! While you're at it, check out the rojak stall right beside her's as well. The rojak + popiah make a wonderful combination.

I love the No Pork Popiah from this stall. First it was cheap, only $1.40 each. Secondly, it was delicious, the tulip not overcooked and not soggy. The sweet sauce , and add-on ingredients were just right to bring out the full flavour of Popiah. It was so good that I just have to packet some Popiah for my wife to enjoy. Oh, almost forgot to mention the stallholders were courteous and helpful too. It is one of the good Popiah stalls in Singapore . Worth trying. ???

Hmmmm. I really want to give it a better rating since the aunty was super nice. But taste wise, it was pretty bland unfortunately. :( $1.50 though so do come down and join the queue if you’re in the area.

I have been coming here since I was a kid.(My friend recommended this stall to me.) Love their popiah and the Auntie(she still remembers me) is very nice and friendly.She still remembers that I like it more chilly. But when I buy from the Uncle, he gives me the kind of look that I owe him money and that he doesnt want to serve me. I gave 4 Stars because of the delicious popiah and also for the Auntie.And 1 star rating due to the Uncle attitude.
