Now that Jian Bo has outlets in the West, it will help the folks here to get their zhui kueh fix.. ? Those with larger orders (10 or more), I noted that they served in a plastic container that separate the cai por and chilli in a smaller compartment ??

nice comfort food for small cravings. caipo and chwee kuey nice. take away container is also nice, cost more than half piece of food. recyclable? doubt so. should be eat hawker food not packaging.

The chili and radish make their chwee kueh a favourite breakfast dish despite the price increase and the small portion of condiments. From my purchase yesterday, they tweaked the chili recipe to make it 10x spicier than before. Couldn't taste anything else except for the burning sensation. Not sure if they intend it to be a permanent change just so they don't have to give out more of it. Disappointing...

A nice entry to chwee kuehs for those who haven't tasted it yet. The chee cheong fun is a bit different from the usual, but still good.

Price is now $3 for 5 pieces. Rather expensive if you compare to everyone else's offerings . They're not as good as some of the better stalls I've tried so I've never gotten the brand name before . The common review as you scroll through other reviews seems to be" stingy and costs more " and its rather hard to disagree What makes them appealing nowadays is simply how much worse their counterparts are in most other places .

Not bad but I still prefer the chwee kueh stall in Blk 448 Clementi Market and Food Centre (Bedok Chwee Kueh).

#01-27 Jian Bo Tiong Bahru Shui Kueh Well known Chwee Kueh place from Tiong Bahru that serves Chwee Kueh, Rice Dumplings and various other Steamed Rice snacks. This branch from the original stall in Tiong Bahru aims to serve their delicacies to the folks in the western side of the country. General Verdict: Standard Chwee Kueh with no Wow Factor. The turnips are a tad salty. Wonder how they got their Michelin Bib Gourmand award Opening Hours: Daily 5:30am to 9pm Queue Situation: Next to none Payment Mode: Cash only Is this worth a try? No Is it worth making a trip just to try it? No Is this worthy of the Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore Award? No Item Ordered: 1) Item: Shui Kueh Description: Plain water cakes that had salty turnips and was barely acceptable Verdict: Acceptable, Order only if you want Price: SG$2.50

WFH mornings call for some comfort food as breakfast, and I got mine in the form of my all-time favourite from @jianboshuikueh! This classic ????? ????(水粿) needs little to no introduction. When Bb first tried it at Tiong Bahru, I thought the cai poh was too greasy for my liking (to be fair, it was that one time a couple of years back) but the one at Jurong West 505 Food Centre seems to do it a lot better! If anything, the one thing that hasn't changed since is that Bb still loves the QQ and firm texture of the kuehs. Also, that hae bi hiam chilli is a nice touch to bring out the umami flavours in the cai poh even more!⁣ ⁣ Appreciate that the chilli and cai poh are separately packed from the rice cake in the box, so it's less messy to warm them up. .⁣ ?
