I live In Marina Bay but usually go out to Sylvia’s Secrets at Bukit Timah for waxing. I needed my underarms waxed but didn’t have time to go all the way out there so I went into Juup for convenience. Nikki did an amazing job. I was very happy. So happy that I came back to get my Brazilian, legs and underarms done again. This time Yo Yo did it. She was not nearly as good as Nikki. I left feeling very unhappy, had wax all over me and was not nice and smooth. She waxed so slow during my Brazilian it was so painful. The most painful Brazilian I’ve ever had. (And I get then once a month). She did not wear gloves during my Brazilian, which I did not notice until the end. Then did not wash her hands before going out to the desk for me to pay. I’m clean but still ... My underarms are fine but she just left my legs covered in wax. Also, the place needs some good cleaning. My mother in law went and refused to take off her shoes it was so dirty. I could go on about things I am unhappy about, trust me there were more things that I couldn’t believe happened during my Brazilian (involving scissors) but instead I will give some advice.. Sylvia’s secrets is the best and worth the trip out to Bukit Timah. Also Nude at Somerset MRT is great!

Went for a couples massage that I purchased on Fave. Massage was very good and enjoyable. Tiny bit of hard sell at reception at the end but totally understandable with current situation. Overall, really enjoyed and no complaints.

I visited Juup Nails at Marina Bay Link Mall on 24th April 2021 at about 4.45pm to remove my eyelash extensions and was attended by Yo-yo. WORST experience to be attended by such an inexperienced and nonchalent staff. From the beginning till the end of the process, I could not believe how many blunders could be made in a single session. I have never encountered such unbearable pain before from all these years of applying and removing my eyelash extensions. The starting of the process was having the eyelashes eye pad patch being applied by Yo-yo to have my bottom lash being covered so she could work on the removal of my upper lash. The eye pad on my left eye was applied on too close to my bottom lash line and when I shut my eyes, the eye pad would be touching my eyeball and there was a sharp pain. I highlighted this to Yo-yo and she re-attempted to apply the eye pad again but to no avail. The eye mask was still touching my eyes whenever I shut them. Yo-yo then proceeded to use the adhesive tapes instead of the eye pads. Next, she applied the eyelash glue removal cream on my eyelashes and let it set to loosen the glue. She then proceeded to use the eyelash removal tools to push the lashes out. The angle was not right during the removal and the cream was being pushed in to my eyes, causing a burning and irritating sensation (Similar to when soap gets into your eyes). She has commented multiple times that my eyelashes were very stubborn and she could not remove them. She then told me that she will have to leave the eyelash removal gel on for another 5 minutes more and left me alone in the room. During this 5 minutes, the burning sensation became stronger as the gel was being pushed further into my eyes during the process being executed by Yo-yo before she left the room. When she came back, she re-attempted to remove my eyelashes but still commented that my eyelashes were still too stubborn and could not be completely removed. I have also been telling her that my eyes were burning and getting unbearable during the process and requested her to stop the removal even though there were about 5-6 strands remaining. She then obliged and used cotton pads to clean off the excess eyelash removal gel and it was not gently done at all, resulting in my eyes being more painful and my eyes also turned red. I was very displeased and disappointed with the services as throughout the entire process, Yo-yo was not apologetic and was very nonchalant towards my feedback. I then paid her $20 and left the store. Conclusion: During the whole process from applying the eye pads and adhesive tapes below my eyelids to the removal and cleaning up of eyelashes, I did shut my eyes tightly and Yo-yo was very rough and did not seem to have gone through any formal training in performing such a dangerous procedure. Despite already displaying some displeasure to her during the procedure as my eyes were burning from her rough actions, Yo-yo nonchalantly shrugged my concerns off and insisted that removal of eyelashes from other customers were much more of a breeze than my stubborn eyelashes. I was extremely frustrated with the experience and even had a lot of irritation in my eyes on my way home. AVOID allowing Yo-yo to treat you at all cost.

Fantastic service for gel mani and pedi. Randomly decided to get it done on my birthday (although I didn’t tell them that). Was one of the best ones I have ever had. Will definitely recommend.

Terrible customer service - do not go here. Did upper lip threading and they made me bleed and didn’t remove all the hair. When I asked them to check again (politely even though It was bleeding and cut), they said “pls don’t come back here” and when I asked why she would say that, she replied “clearly we can’t do it properly”. AMY Cha was the lady who ward extremely rude. Pls don’t go here if you don’t want to leave hurt and disappointed!

I bought a fave voucher. When booking an appointment, I clearly mentioned it's class gel mani and classic gel Pedi. Inspire of this, they had some clashing appointments. When I went 5 min late, they told me that I came very late and they will not do the service.. when I said is only 5 min, that's when they saw the time and discussed among themselves and finally said ok to me.. again I said what deal I got.. the nail paints they gave me looked like non gel and none of them understood english.. even then they did only classic nail paint on toes.. they wanted to somehow do it very fast and they rushed to finish it off. When they completed I asked is it gel and then there said it's not and cleaned the nail paint and redid it.. my nails can be seen thrpugh even with nail paint.. after I asked they did another coating.. horrible experience..

25 Feb - Have an existing nail package but card could not be found. Also, as a client I was made to feel that it is strange that my card was lost and there are no records of my purchase when I am an existing customer who paid for a package not long ago. Jewel nails has been bought over by Juup nails. Customers were not told about this as I signed up for a package in end nov-dec and I was told that they will be moving to another location soon, but in the same building.

I had a package from Jewel Nails in the basement directly under The Sail. As a loyal customer of 4 years, I have repeatedly purchased the packages. Firstly, I was not told they had moved location (still within the Marina Link Mall). On arrival I requested for the usual gel pedi, to find that I had no more left in my package. As I asked to renew the package, the new package had fewer pedi sessions (used to be 5), down to 3, for $248, which is around a value of $120. Secondly, the comfort of the facilities, and the service of the staff has deteriorated and was rude, with the staff speaking in mandarin, assuming I could not understand as I initiated conversation in English when I arrived. Lastly, they had the audacity to hard sell me their services after speaking rudely about me. Whilst I was there, they also told another customer their packages had expired (mid way through treatment) but there was never an expiry on the packages when sold, and the customer was told she would have to take out a new package. She also declined and asked for the most basic cost for her treatment and said she would not renew. Taking into consideration inflation, this new management of Jewel nails and what they are trying to charge is far more than a luxury spa nail place especially with their uncomfortable facilities. In addition, they have changed the rules of previous packages purchased and not notified the consumer until they have already started their treatments. They are by no means a 5 star service and sadly will have to rate them as a 1 star. Very sad as under the previous management, they were my go to. Now I will have to find a new place for future treatments.
