β β β β β You wouldn't know you were in a coffeeshop in Toa Payoh, you could be in some side alley teleport to Japan. The food is plated luxuriously for one meal, its relatively reasonable in price, and the food has simple, authentic flavours. This place is highly underrated from first impressions!

β β β β β Nestled within the coffeeshop that serves great curry fish and mixed rice, no wonder there isn't much attention and review
BUT This place deserves more attention for 3 good reasons
1) great food
2) great price with decent serving
3) great people
Go to dish should be
1) nicely done Salmon Cream stew
2) close to being addictive Tori Karrage
3) beautifully seasoned flavored rice, if available

β β β β β Hidden delights at a Kopitiam in Toa Payoh. Their Japanese foods are delicious. Service is nice and friendly. Price is competitive. Highly recommend! ??

β β β β β First visit here and I am hooked! I'm impressed that they take pride in presenting the food in a pretty way. Ordered the Chicken Karage set and was expecting the usual deep fried frozen stuff but was pleasantly surprised to discover that they coated strips of chicken in their own batter! Plus, it was nicely fried to crispy perfection. They sauce was interesting too; not the usual bottled stuff but a small dish of homemade sauce (i think it's blended ginger, onion...) I'm definitely coming back to try more.

β β β β β Large portion of curry!
This stall opts for a more spicy/peppery style of curry so those who prefer a sweet taste take note.
Meat was tender, not oily or fatty.
Miso soup was alright, contains seaweed and quite a bit of springy tofu.
All for just $5.50!
FIVE DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS!

β β β β β Fantastic Japanese food. Huge portions and delicious! Love their bittergourd dish! For someone who don't really like bittergourd, I find it really tasty and not as bitter as I thought it would be! Salmon fried rice here is also recommended.
