β β β β β Fast service, prompt staff, non-stop action from the kitchen, pipping hot food, heavier taste, all these happening on a Mother's day weekend.
Do call ahead to 'reserve' your table, but still need to queue a while for table to be ready.

β β β β β Umami fest. Really tasty dishes. Enjoyed the salted egg sotong and roast chicken the most (both in the menu reco list). The kerupuk with the chicken though was no longer crunchy and even somewhat chewy tough already. Crab fried rice was also good with a generous serving of yummy white crab chunks. The prawn omelette was average. Staff were all friendly, attentive, and helpful.

β β β β β We came at a good time (around 5:30pm) and they had a table for us without booking. We ordered chili crab and declined wet towelettes which cost extra.
The servers kindly put a paper bib on us and gave us some tissues and plastic gloves to eat with.
The crab was super delicious and we were satisfied with the meal.
The toilets at the restauarant could be cleaner though.

β β β β β First of all don't bother to walk in to eat if you want to eat crabs at this place. As they seemed to have limited crabs. Also most tables are reserved also. which means pretty long wait for food
We made a reservation via their website and upon arrival, we were told there are no crabs as we did not reserve a crab during our reservation.
They were then only able to give us one crab for a table of 5.
Ordered 6 dishes and we can say the food quality is pretty good.
Yam ring is tasty and seafood ingredients are fresh.
Salted egg prawns are flavourful. came medium when we wanted small but might be miscommunication, but since dish tasted good we let it go.
3 treasure vegetable is not that great though. A bit too salty for our taste.
moonlight horfun is excellent. The wok Hey is strong and tastes good
Choi Yang tou fu is great also. Tou fu is fresh and minced meat with sauce is savory.
Chilli crab served is pretty big. I suppose it's to make up the gaffe earlier that they stated there won't be any crab if we never reserve earlier.
Crab is fresh and not old. The chilli crab sauce is too sweet for our liking with little to no chilli or spiciness or sambal taste. Tasted completely different from how Mark Weins described it when he was there recently.
And they only have steamed buns instead of the deep fried buns which goes with the dish.
Overall gave 3 stars because I feel that being a seafood place, emphasis is given more to non sea food dishes. And the earlier "no crab if no reserve" incident marred the experience there.
Service is ok other then mis communication and forgetting one item on the menu which came after we almost finish our meal.

β β β β β So amazing!!! You can skip all the super touristy and fancy seafood places in Singapore and come here for some fantastic food and wonderful service. Duh, pepper crab for sure, but the fish head curry was amazing, as were the beef hor fun noodles. Good cereal shrimp, marmite chicken, salted egg calamari β¦ everything we had was great. And big cold Tiger bears to wash it all down. Yum!

β β β β β Was there to celebrate my birthday.
Ordered their tofu and bai ling gu mushroom dish. I have to say the tofu is nice and firm and the bai ling gu was not over cook.
Next comes the main dish, Ordered the chilli crab as well as the black pepper crab.
Chilli much preferred and the sauce was nice. Have a nice kick to it but still can taste the sweetness of the crab.
Black pepper crab , smaller in size but was charged the same as the chilli crab. Too strong for my liking, can't taste the crab sweetness. But can tell the crab is fresh
Over the experience is nice. The reason I didn't give a 5 star review was that the crab when served was not piping hot but lukewarm. The sauce is hot but the crabs are not.
Total bill plus non alcohol drinks : 200 plus
As for the staff they are nice and friendly. Bravo to them

β β β β β Service is excellent, Dishes were served up fast and the food were all savoury!
The coffee ribs were slightly too sweet for my palate but i guess it will suit the taste of majority
Downside of the venue is smokers everywhere so you be eating with the scent of cigarette as and when.

β β β β β This is my second visit, the chili crab still tastes good and pleasantly surprised to find quite a lot of crab roe, but of cos price has increased quite a lot. ζη ε· (their signature wrap) is yum, but not sure if as full bodied in term of filling as before. Sambal stir fried veggies (okra and eggplants) is the highlight of the night, goes v well with rice! The only disappointment is the salted egg calamari, not very rich in salted egg flavor as we expected. Staff most are aunties just like your neighbors, friendly and got vivid characters~ ? a gentle tips though, remember to request for air con tables when you book a table if al fresco isn't your cup of tea esp in hot humid Singapore weather!
