Firstly let me correct the operating times. IT IS 24 HOURS !!! ( NOT 930 am to 930 pm ) Even though at 5 am you may not get a full range because they are trying to prepare the stocks by 6 am for the breakfast rush. I will always give my honest opinion. Right now , I've like 1,108,810 views ( as of 22/3/2022 ) of my photos. This Kimly dim sum is actually mass-produced in their Central Kitchen Cum factory & reasonably well made. They have with a good CONSCIENCE & have passed the savings to the consumer because of the economy of scale. The consistency and quality is controlled well at the factory and the dim sum is frozen immediately possibly by IQF ( instant quick freezing to LOCK IN the taste & freshness ) Kimly Dim Sum has many outlets all over Singapore. But I must admit SOME of the outlets are NOT good. I believe it has little to do with the factory other than the Siew Mai (not so nice ) ,big "Bao " which is in my opinion a bit too oily & lotus leaf rice ... ??[ Maybe this has something to do with the recipe ]. To be reasonable, after they have done their best at the factory to try to keep everything consistent and tasty , I feel that the other part ie ,the frozen dim sum PROCESSED for sale BY THE CREW OF THE OUTLET does make a difference ! Because if the crew doesn't follow the proper training, SOP & guidelines of their MASTER Dim Sum Chef , then the quality of the dim sum at the outlet may become extremely good or bad. #### IN MY OPINION THE BIG DIFFERENCE WHY THIS UPPER SERANGOON VIEW OUTLET IS VERY GOOD especially in the DAY SHIFT because of these 2 DEDICATED staff shown in this the photo. They are meticulous & precise in the steaming which is critical and above all they comes with very good service quality coupled with sincere friendliness. These are staff with EXCELLENT Initiative & LEADERSHIP QUALITIES. #### In my opinion this one at 476D Upper Serangoon View is ONE of the BEST or Possibly THE BEST ! ( There are also some others that are good & some are atrocious/ terrible ) The reasons are mentioned above. I believe that this crew here HAS BEEN really DILIGENT in following their company's training and SOP to achieve this. I have been to SOME OTHER OUTLETS , sometimes they tend to over-steam or over fried the Dim Sum , in the case of like Xia Jiao , the skin fall apart & the Hong Kong carrot cake become too hard ( over fried ). At Upper Serangoon View , I'm a frequent visitor because I'm a RESIDENT here & I find it a quality is VERY CONSISTENT & OPTIMISED . So do look at my pictures , especially the close-up shots well taken by my Huawei MATE 40 PRO with legendary LEICA lenses. I'm so IMPRESSED even for a NOT MADE ON THE SPOT HK Prawn Chee Cheong Fun, the quality is above my expectation, still silken soft, translucent thin but not broken,prawns ONLY slightly harder but still FRESH & ACCEPTABLE @ an UNBELIEVABLE VAULE - $ 2.30 ! And the SPECIAL shrimp Chilli that goes it is fantastic too The fried items are also reasonably good and lowly priced ; $ 0.80 each but BUNDLED at $ 2.20 for ANY 3 pieces Century egg porridge is ABOVE typical standards too EVEN though it is at a super low $ 2.30 I'm a slightly "picky" Cantonese food and dim sum eater because : 1. Both my parents are pure Cantonese & we tend to be more DISCERNING on food especially Cantonese food. 2. Furthermore I've had the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong , eat the food there especially dim sum , EVERY month for almost 7 years. So WITH THE CORRECT REFERENCE STANDARD , it is easy for me to give a right assessment. However in my assessment for this , my desire is to share my opinion WITH A BALANCE consideration of it EVEN THOUGH being mass produced ( Kimly have actually done quite well ) , with good consistency, taste and PRICE. ( THE FOOD QUALITY TO PRICE RATIO IS GOOD ) for $ 5 to $ 8 per pax, you can have quite a sumptuous & high quality meal.
