My family has been absolutely impressed by the food and staff service at Kin Kao Young. We highly recommend the charcoal grilled pork jowl (tender, juicy and drool-inducing burnt smell), pork leg (tender with delicious sauce), tom yum seafood soup (authentic taste and generous serving for the price) and coconut ice cream (icing on the cake). When we couldn't finish and had to bring the leftover home, the staff offered us extra sauces even though we didn't ask for it. Overall, we have enjoyed our experiences dining here so far, as the standard of service has been consistently good and the food is definitely value for money.

Really tasty and flavorful Thai food! Pork leg is tender, grilled pork was delicious due to the charcoal grill. Tom yum seafood soup had generous amounts of fresh seafood and the soup was tasty! Coconut shake is super shiok. Scanned the QR code to order and pay, which was a fast and smooth process

I usually don’t write reviews unless my experience was very bad or very good. This restaurant just blew my mind. The food was super nice and close to authentic. The green curry was just right with its spice level and creaminess. The grilled chicken was not over done and was so juicy. The grilled pork was a little tough but could be better. The portion size was just right as per the price. The coconut ice cream was soooo good but the mangoes were very sour. We went there for lunch and it was empty so the service was great and food came fast. Would highly recommend this place for really nice Thai food. Hope it stays like this even after it gets popular. 1 star less for the sour mangoes and the pork. But definitely will be back

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great table service. We especially enjoyed the BBQ Pork Belly.....portions are a little small. Overall we enjoyed our dinner here this evening. Will come back again when we get a chance.

Got stuck in the rain at Downtown East and decided to have my dinner here. This place serves excellent Pork Leg Rice and Grilled Pork Jowl. This is as authentic as it gets! I was really surprised by the taste and the portion was generous….same as the one I had in Thailand. Too bad you guys don’t serve Pork Basil Rice in the evenings…..the pork leg rice and everything else was delicious! You guys need to put out a Thai β€˜Wai’ statue outside your shop to make it more prominent. The warmness and attention your staffs give to customers are hard to find nowadays. Price is also very reasonable!

We had just been for a movie nearby and decided to have dinner here. Service was friendly, but the kitchen was busy and slightly chaotic - staff kept discussing which items had been sent out to which tables - and thus there was a slight delay in the arrival of the food. The pork jowl was delish, and went well with the sauce. We also enjoyed the chicken salad, though my wife wished for a tad more veg in the dish. I had actually wanted to order the mango salad, but it was not available. The gravy in the green curry was also very tasty, and the long beans were done just right, with still some crunch in them. Unfortunately, you could taste that the chicken bits were frozen, and therefore unappetizing. The jasmine rice was cooked well, and was fluffy, but perhaps a little expensive at $1.50 per portion. Ordering and payment can be done via the QR code. Alternatively, the staff can take your order at the cashier, but note that payment needs to be done before the food is prepared.

This is my second time dining here. Things have changed a little now, you can only order via QR code, the staffs won’t be able to take your order. The food tastes good. The staffs are friendly, polite and attentive even though they are obviously short of staffs. The prices are still reasonable. Overall, a great place to dine in. My feedback is that they should give diners both options of ordering through the QR code, and more importantly the manual ordering through the staffs.
