Kumoya Singapore @ Orchard Central - 181 Orchard Rd

The entrance was not welcoming. Although we have booked a table last Friday, the first staff was unpleasant limit rude. We went there for an experience but were disappointed by the first staff we encountered. The decoration is nice. Although in Singapore for a couple of years now, it's my first time eating a shabu-shabu. I had no expectations on the food, and didn't have any wow effect. The drinks are in the high so we didn't order drinks, mainly because of the welcoming. One of the bowls we received had some black marks on it. I asked for it to be replaced. The staff took in away and forgot to give me a new one. The restaurant was not busy as several tables were empty. I recommend it if you like Hello Kitty but don't attach importance on the food or on communication with the staff. Since it's a Hello Kitty Japanese concept, it would have been great to have a "welcome" in Japanese like when you enter a Korean restaurant, the staff says "anyohaseyo"

Kid was bugging to go in. Just ordered one item so she could have a cookie. I think drinks are 12 dollars ++. Aircon. Comfy. Private. I guess paying for seats and hello kitty license. Wish they had nicer looking desserts and cakes for kids. I personally wouldn't expect good hot pot or food there. Really just for kitty lovers and young kids.

Our second time to this themed cafe outlet, though we didnt go for hotpot, kids meal and snacks were decent taste. Pandan chicken nicely fried and hotdog’s dip was nice touch. Wish they had given dip for my leftover takeaways though. One staff was particularly friendly and knows his work, while rest of crew were not as proactive. Was about same as first visit, didnt feel the staff was enthusiastic so to say. Prices for themed cafes are on par.

My eldest girl carelessly toppled the cup of Mango Yuzu Frappe and causes my youngest girl crying out loud, staff helped to clear right away and out of goodwill to top up the wipe-cream on top of that they give extra chocolate, sparkling and stickers to keep them happy. Keep up the good work and bring the love to more customers… ?

The staff here do an amazing job to kill any excitement of this themed cafe. I mean... it's afterall probably a kids dream come true to visit this place, won't hurt to be abit happier? (Food was surprisingly decent though, so kudos to the chef)

Place is prettily done up with Hello Kitty and shabu shabu pot theme. Thought the two ideas are good, but the soup base and meat options have no wow factors. The desserts are limited to only 3 choices but the designs are not so creative as their previous themes. The drinks are up to their usual standard. The ambience may be good but the price to pay may not be worth it.

Hello Kitty fan should visit this at least once. Food is decent, though you would likely not be here for the food. Ordered the chicken collogen soup, the collogen come in a Hello Kitty shape, which is quite novel.

Hello Kitty Theme Cafe: Food is ok, price was not valuable My Little Pony Theme Cafe: Went for their snacks, desserts & drinks. Supposedly for advance birthday celebration thought they would do something special but nothing?? So what's the point of putting the occasion purpose during booking time ?‍♀️
