One of the best wet version Hokkien Mee! Wonderful fried pork lard. Love it!

Friendly boss. Hokkien mee is pretty good, it is the wet kind. Shiok to eat together with the sambal chilli. $4 portion came with 2 prawns. However I don't really like the black carrot cake, not to my personal preference as it's more on the soy sauce / salty side rather than sweet black sauce taste. It was rather wet as well. Overall will recommend the Hokkien mee, but not the black carrot cake.

Taste and speed is good. I give 3.5 stars. I bought both Fried Hokkien and Fried Kway Teow. I highly preferred the Fried Pawn Noodle. That is 3.5 stars. Fried Kway Teow need more improvement. I yet to try the rest, i saw the order of carrot cake (white) look impressive. :-) Will I be back. Yes but let me try others 1st.

This is the $5 portion of hokkien mee. As you can see in the background vs the foreground, the portion is about 30% more. (that HK mee is also $5) Hokkien mee okay, taste normal, slightly on the 'wetter' side of hokkien mee. Does not have the yellow noodle taste, which is a good thing. Also another commendable part is the portion of the noodle is generous, as compared to other store. The owner is also very nice and friendly. However, the prawn given us quite small, and freshness of prawn is questionable. I requested for extra pork lard which the owner very kindly gave, but sadly the pork lard isn't very fresh and can taste that it is prepped some time ago and stored in a container. The chilli wise isn't too fantastic as well, imo lack of the heh bee taste. Overall I feel its okay, didn't fail anything, it's just normal lor. I feel can be better if the pork lard they use is fresh and the prawn is fresh as well. Can try if u are there.

This shop is one of the worst for carrot cake, went on Sunday late morning and ordered a black carrot cake. The entire packet was soaking wet and the eggs were not even cooked. Please avoid at all cost!

1st try of this Hokkien Prawn Mee at Bukit Merah View hawker. Starting at $4 & I was unsure if sufficient portion, hence i ordered the $5 plate. It's quite wet type & have the wok hei. Found 3 small shrimps inside! I was abit shocked when the stall owner poured in numerous bits of pork lard! ? Almost couldn't finish this plate of prawn mee & finally i did! Lol ?

A wetter style of Hokkien Mee, almost swimming in its broth. Tasted average as it was very flour-y in its taste. A good broth would have elevated this dish. It came with 2 prawns and egg wash. They are generous with chili and lard. Not sure if it is a one-off as it did not impress. A constant queue which moves pretty quickly. Very friendly lady boss.
