Lai Ming Hotel Cosmoland - 424 Geylang Rd

There's no elevator so I have to carried the luggage until 4th floor. But the staff is kind and helpful. It's easy to get halal food next to the hotel and the prize is not too expensive. Overall it's good for low budget but with good hospitality.

The room was filthy dirty the beds were uncomfortable the bathroom was dirty and smelly and the dining area had a table cloth that looked like it had not been cleaned in month's. The free breakfast was bread and butter or you could toast the bread anda tea or coffee. There was some kind of spread for the toast that came out of a tin but not sure what it was. I can honestly say that this has got to be the worst place I have ever stayed in so would not recommend staying there unless you really have to. Also you do get a free bottle of water each day per person. I asked for a cup of tea in the evening but was told you can only get tea for breakfast.

To be clear, this is a basic hotel. Having said this, at the low cost price it delivered what it needed to. A/C was good. Room was clean. Beds were ok, and they have 5 person rooms which are good for families. The place is definitely a bit tired, but so long as your expectations are in line with the price then it's a good option. Downsides: the free WiFi only works close to reception, and the hot water is only a few degrees above room temperature.

This is a old hotel so the rooms are worn. But saying that just as a place to sleep it is OK The bathroom was OK, the sink did drip water onto the floor but no big deal. The room was quiet in the mornings though there must be an airport or something nearby so there was some noise, only in the mornings though. The hostess was a very nice lady and we thought helpful, her English was good. We thought it was a good locality, old style locality. Plenty of nearby food outlets and various shops. Main road for buses. MRT was only five minute walk away which was the East - West line. Overall: It is a budget hotel so you get budget facilities. BTW: though linen and such was clean I don"t think you should look closer under the linen. HaHa

So me and my family went on a trip which meant us staying in 5 Hotels but due to this hotel being disgusting we had to stay in 7. When we first arrived there, there was no elevator. We had to carry 7 suit cases up the stairs and we had an elderly person with us. The hotel rooms were horrendous. There were bud begs on the bed, the sofa and the chairs we were all itchy and scratching ourselves. The tv had no remote?? There were bugs every where, in the bathroom as well. The bathroom was not well cleaned, it was small and just disgusting. Since the room was just unlivable we decided to leave and find another hotel, the hotel receptionist was the only okay person there. Next time when we talk to the staff we don't expect to a drunk man. Overall it was disappointing and the worst hotel I've ever been to. If you're going to Singapore please please avoid this"hotel". It ruined our time in Singapore.

Well, you will get what you paid for. However, the staff are accommodating. If you are on a holiday, you only stay in your hotel room to sleep and bath. So, it would be wise to spend less on hotel. In fairness, our room was clean and enough for us 4 adults and a kid. Also, the location of the hotel is outstanding-- very near to LRT. Bus stop is just outside the hotel. Eateries are just few meters away.

We had a four bedded family room. No elevator-if you are travelling with heavy baggage, you are in trouble as no one to help you with baggage. Cleanliness appropriate, hot water available in bathrooms but only hand-wash provided. They provide breakfast but only bread, margarine, marmalade with tea/coffee. Hot water available at kitchen. No tea making facilities at room. Not crowded. Not noisy. Overall I would say the hotel was OK but not good.

We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago. It was a terrible experience. We reserved 3 rooms but all the rooms were not that clean and I didn't see any room service. The staff was NOT FRIENDLY and the way they talk was not nice. Once I asked few extra drinking glasses, they said they would give but they didn't. It was just one example. The dining area was not clean and it was not as like in Booking.com pictures. Air conditioning was very bad. Window seeing was untidy. I do not recommend this place at all.
