Charles is the coordinator for my house renovation. I engaged Lai Renovation & Construction for hacking works of the 2 toilets and kitchen. It is a breeze to work Charles. He is responsive to request including urgent matters such as leak during renovation process. His team is ever willing to go the extra mile to ensure renovation work is within the time given on the hdb permit. Overall a very satisfying process throughout.

We can highly recommend Lai Renovation. Everything was handled professionally and efficiently. From hacking, putting up partition, plumbing and electrical works, Calvin, who handled the project for us, was good with coming up with solutions, where others only saw problems. We appreciated very much his attention to details and ability to listen and provide good advise. Also, the workers were polite and each did the job assigned to them efficiently. Everything was carried out according to schedule, as they have their own team. We will not hesitate to use them again should we need renovation works in the future.

I directly hired Lai reno for my unique clover-shaped unit and asked them to liase closely with my ID. It was made clear during early discussions that i need the flat to be in 'a living -condition' in 30 days, and the team achieved that. Scope from Lai Reno included hack whole unit, demo of walls, add partition walls, plastering of whole house, change windows, false ceiling, painting, tiles and vinyl, doors, etc. Project Manager Charles and Owner Choon Wei were super responsive, genuine and trustworthy. These young locals listened well, embraced new ideas to speed up work, and coordinated well with partners. Given challenges during COVID-19, what was achieved within 30 days was quite remarkable. Highly recommended!

Wonderful kitchen renovation experience. Although there were some situations which were out of their control such as the carpentry work delay due to Covid. Lavin reassured us that they will keep pushing for outcome that benefit us throughout the entire renovation journey. In the beginning, Mr Lai also prioritise the practical aspect of the renovation plans and will not push for anything we do not need. This is a very important criteria I look for in a renovation company as we were clueless on the process, timeline, what are the non-essentials and cost breakdowns. 1) Tiles are inclusive of the entire material costs, so you don’t need to pay separately. 2) You can opt in for more intricate designs outside your initial quotations but the breakdown charges for the designs are transparent. 3) The overall demolition cost is one of the lowest I found. 4) Though they are a renovation contractor company, they will be able to advise on the design that matches and works best for your area. 5) Staff and contractors are friendly and answer to your queries accordingly. 6) Best to find your own accessories ie sinks and kitchen appliances so you know what you’re paying for. Only con is that, like many foreign contractors working on their designated tasks, they will want to give you extra services and pay them outside the company’s official bill, just firmly decline. Overall, very pleased and will recommend others to get a practical, fuss/judgement free and pay for only what you need quotations from them. Thanks Lavin and team.

I was frantically looking for contractors to start renovation works, after my original ID faced manpower crunch issues and no work had started after 1.5months. Found Lai Renovation through google reviews, and here I am, adding to the numerous 5* reviews just 1 month after I reached out to them! I was impressed by the speed of response and works, right from the start! After reaching out to Choon Wei and Lavin early Jan this year, they did an onsite visit the following day, drafted the quotation, sought approvals promptly and were able to start demolition works the following week! Choon Wei and Lavin had a very good attitude, and were very responsive to my queries - I always felt assured that the renovation was going well as they sent photos of progress updates without my asking, gave me a schedule of works, and carried out the works or touchups according to my specific requests - I was satisfied with the quality at completion. Would definitely recommend this passionate team to anyone looking for value-for-money renovation works to be completed timely yet without compromise for quality.

I found Lai Reno and Construction on Google, while searching for the top 10 hacking contractors in Singapore. Charles, Lavin and team have been responsive, efficient, accommodating and patient. Initially contracted with them to hack away my storeroom and kitchen cabinet. However, due to delays in getting my house keys, the team was kind enough to extend the HDB permit and reschedule the works. Also, after analysing the condition of the house, they agreed to include all the additional works i requested and took the initiative to clear up all the other unwanted items for me. They did a great job with the house and kept me updated of the works so I did not have to make the trip down to check. Their services are affordable too and I was able to save a lot of time, effort and expenses because of them. I am truly thankful to have found this company.

I am glad to be introduced by an acquaintance and later found out a common friend also engaged his service for his renovation work. I did hacking n tiling work with them (Charles) and I must say they are responsive and accommodating team to work with. They are efficient on the job and when I needed rectification, Charles will follow up closely to ensure the task is completed. Price is consider reasonable compare to the rest of the quotes i have received. Thank you guys!
