Sotong is nicely done. Egg patty and ngoh hiang taste a little different from what we usually had from other stores not really to our liking.

Ordered wu xiang and satay beehoon. Wu Xiang is above average, satay bee hoon average. Both stall owners/workers were unfriendly, coffee shop is heavy with traffic, so cleaner was pressured to work fast, so much so they clear my half eaten beehoon while I was collecting my wu xiang. First and last visit.

5 Spice Roll / Wu Xiang Xia Bing (SGD $11) @ Lao Zhong Zhong. . This stall at Potong Pasir is one of those that was much better in the past, but they still serve a reliable above average rendition. . What remains good here - the juicy 5 spice roll with meaty earthy savoury sweet salty flavour, and the crispy handmade prawn fritters with enticing sweet savoury salty flavour. . The bouncy tofu beancurd with grainy sweet flavour is pretty good too, especially with their rich chili sauce which has a good spicy sour nutty kick. . They used to serve cucumbers with each order, but not anymore. The fried bee hoon / vermicelli noodles is decent, but runs out far too quickly.

The prawn fritters have really gone from really nice in the past to really bad now. There was a time when the prawn fritters were white color. Now it’s all burnt brown and the chili is somehow too thick like a really old gravy. I saw uncle folding the ngo heong while scolding the staff earlier so I assumed that they still take pride in making the food. But the delivery is really bad for me this time. Disappointed.

Lovely gem of a place that is still authentic in the local hawker fare. The Bak Chor Mee and Laksa stall offers a good range of noodles. Had the Bak Chor Mee which is done nicely with the traditional vinegar flavouring. The braised duck and Kway Chap store has the traditional taste. The Ngoh Hiang which had a decent line is really the highlight - probably one of the best stores around.

Came here for the Ngor Hiong hype. Sauce and crackers are good. But the sausage not my liking. Ordered the mushroom bak chor mee too, the braised mushroom very tasty, the chilli they use are very spicy but flavourful. Portion are kinda good for one pax.

This is a eating place hidden in a corner of machete on sennette estate. There are 6 food stall here selling noodle, kway chap, fried oyster, porridge, etc. It is better a a train to the eating house as it is near to potong Pasir MRT station. The car parking around the eating house is really limited. The Wu Xiang stall there has a really long queue when we arrived there at around 5 pm. After trying it out I feel my time could have been better spent else where. Will I revisit this eating house? Maybe when I have revisited all the eating place in Singapore.

Great flavor traditional Chinese Fried Snacks. We usually called it Wu Xiang, means five fragrance fried snacks 五香炸物 (something similar like Japanese fried foods) If you are first time visiting n trying such traditional flavors. You must try their fried tou-fu, they fry it from fresh tou-fu piece by piece, unlike other similar food stall taken tou-fu from factory which already pre-fry and re-fry again when order, that make the tou-fu hard and dry. But this stall have it fry from fresh and tou-fu are soft and juicy and tasty in you mouth. For the rest of the items, you may try their chestnut fish cake, fish ball, prawn fritter, octopus, meat sausages etc. All of them are tasty and delicious. Price are range from $1/pc+- Probably only item that I'm not recommending was prawn crackers, it seem taken from factory and visibly over fried and dark unlike it used to be quite white and fresh in taste. Anyway, this stall was a popular one in the coffeeshop, so prepare to spend more time before you can enjoy it. *Take note of difficulty to find carpark lots in this area. And parking wardens is always around the corner. Beware! ?
