Heard about this prawn noodle stall from Instagram and decided to give it a try. I had the $6 prawn noodle. The soup is definitely flavourful. Will return again to try the dry version as that is how I like my prawn noodles.

Powerful prawn noodle. The soup was very thick with prawn umami. Very friendly uncle who will chat with you while you are waiting and tell u about the stall history.

Went to golden mile hawker center for hokkien mee and found it closed. Craving for prawn related food. Found this Liang Seah St Prawn noodle stall (B1-54). An elderly Uncle mending the stall and I decided to give it a try. I am glad I tried. First the prawn, it was fresh, juicy, succulent, crunchy, and sweet. Yes, genuine sweetness from the prawn. Normally, when I have prawn noodle soup, I find the prawn tend to be bland, sometime overcooked and tough. This stall prove me wrong if you know how to cook your prawn. Second, the noodle is nicely cooked, not soggy, just smooth prawn noodle with kang kong and bean sprouts and with generous serving of sliced lean pork. Third the soup, when I first taste it, a bit mild, clear soup, no fine. Normally prawn soup is dark, and come with fine or heavily accented with prawn paste smell or taste, and brown sugar. However not this one, as I take in the prawn, the noodle, the soup taste better and better, it just grow on you. Finally, my bowl was empty as I finished the soup. Now I found a new love. Yum yum! Btw, this stall has a long history, started in 1946!

Ordered both the soup and soup versions. The dry version was lacking in seasoning while the soup version was medium bodied. The noodles are generous and the prawns were sliced. Lean pork was tender enough. Uncle is very patient and friendly.

My favourite prawn noodle store at Golden Mile Food Centre. Prawns are fresh and large for $6. The pork ribs are tender and doesn’t reek of the porky smell ????

Usually dig into my noodles before taking any proper photos but realised I should share great food with more people so here goes!! An unassuming shop with unassumingly great prawn noodles, generous serving at $6, well-bodied broth with sweet prawns and relatively tender ribs! Uncles are always friendly and nice, do give this a try amidst the other raved offerings at this food centre!
