★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had this in the morning around 9.30am. No queue at all. It's actually quite nice, both the veggies and the noodles have a lot of wok hey. The veggies were not bitter at all but a bit oily. The portion size is quite small and only 2 prawns were given. Overall, I think it's not bad despite the poor reviews. I wouldn't queue 30 mins for it but I don't mind having it again if I go to Golden Mile in the morning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After more than 5 years since I last tried, I have been thinking about it. The wok hey , the veg that adds that additional crunchiness and giving me a ‘false ‘ sense of healthiness ?, the sauce that blends in very well giving the right saltiness and sweetness. Missed them all.
5 years later, tried and tasted. A little drop in the standard but still I must say is still above the average CKT. For take away orders, they will have the fried silver fishes packed separately and you are able to enjoy the crunchiness at the comfort of your home with the CKT with greens. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite disappointing with the flavour. Had eaten before few years ago and I remembered the taste was reasonable. Now I felt an over powered of wok hey and quite salty as well. The good point about this CKT is the green vegetable. Other than this nothing special.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chanced upon this stall and decided to try after seeing the numerous accolades displayed at the storefront. Ordered a large portion and added extra cockles for $2 which give you an additional a tea spoon scoup of it. Tasty and different from the normal fried kway teow. I can't say I like it but the generous serving of greens and the deep fried small fish toppings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unique Char Kway Teow (CKT) that incorporates greens. Always a long Q although it moves fairly rapidly. The greens assauge (a little) any guilt we feel at indulging in what is undoubtedly a sinful dish, since it is now a balanced meal incorporating all basic food groups :p Levity aside, this is one CKT where your calories won't be wasted

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the better CKT I have tried. The unique selling point of this CKT is the added greens and the fried crunchy silver fishes. There is definitely wok hey despite not using pork or lard in the cooking. Portions are on the small side. As of April 2022, prices are at $4.20 or $5.20. The small plate comes with 2 prawns, scrambled egg, bean sprouts, greens and silver fishes. They only do morning and lunch crowds. On a Sunday morning at 9.30am, there is not much of a queue, but queue starts to form after we finished our meal at 10.30am. Not too sinful for CKT as breakfast since the greens are healthy (LOL). It's an enjoyable plate of CKT. I will definitely return again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Char Kway Teow (SGD $4.20) @ 91 Fried Kway Teow Mee.
.
Named after their stall's number, they serve a unique healthy rendition of this dish, with no pork (no lup cheong / dried cured pork sausage), no lard, and a generous topping of vegetables.
.
The kway teow / wide flat rice noodles and long cylindrical yellow wheat noodles is fried with vegetable oil, less dark soy sauce, crisp bean sprouts, wispy eggs, and thoroughly cooked chewy blood cockles, in a special secret broth that takes 10 hours to prepare.
.
The blanched crisp chye sim / Chinese flowering cabbage, and crunchy ikan bilis / anchovies is then added on top. Each bite carries a mild vegetal sweet savoury salty eggy flavour.
.
Being less greasy and oily, with a mild smoky aroma, this comes across as balanced and semi-wholesome.
