2 adults, 1 child. Sunday early evening around 545 pm. Ordered 1 wine, 3 cocktails (don't worry, cabbed home).. Wine was fine (its bottled, not easy to screw that up). Cocktails were REALLY watered down. My first one tasted so light I actually had to tell them NOT to water it down for the next cocktail. Even then, still tasted like juice. On to the food. Beef Banh Mi - nothing to write home about. It tasted just like grilled beef, slapped in the middle of a baguette. That's what Bahn Mi is you say? Well no, its not. I'm actually married to a Vietnamese lady and during pre-covid days we'd go to Vietnam yearly. Bahn Mi is MORE than just meat between a baguette. The meat pate, the butter, the grilled pork.. I could go on but I won't. It's just not Banh Mi. Clams in lemongrass broth - super small clams. Don't say its because this is SG not Vietnam. The Viet restaurants in Joo Chiat area can get big clams. You telling me an establishment in Clarke Quay can't source out decently sized clams? Crispy white bait - Honestly, pretty good. Goes quite well with the green chili sauce. Thick crab soup - One of the main reasons why I am giving this place 2 stars. Refer to the picture attached. We ordered the soup as my son would need something soupy to go with dinner. We found a piece of a stainless steel scrubber (the one usually used to clean pots and pans) inside the soup. It was lucky my wife was tasting the soup first before giving it to my son and she was the one that almost swallowed it. My 4 year old boy wouldn't have known what it was and could have swallowed it. Real disgrace. Coconut ice cream - its ice cream. What do you wanna know? Suffice it to say, once our food arrived and we encountered the issue with the soup, we didn't want to order any other food as we were worried of what extras we might find in other dishes. When asked to see the manager, we were told the manager was not in. So I requested to see whoever was in charge in his absence. Turns out the head chef doubles as the 2nd in charge of the place. He came out to see what the issue was. One of the waitresses had hurriedly taken the soup with the steel piece back into the kitchen stating that she was going to show it to the chef but when he came to our table he did not know what the issue was nor had he seen what was sent back. Luckily, we had taken a photo and showed it to him. Not sure what would have been the reaction had we not taken a photo. The head chef apologized and very nicely offered to give us another helping of the soup. We declined the offer as there was a possibility that the entire stock of soup for the dinner may be kept in the pot that was scrubbed with the steel scrubber, a piece of which we discovered in our soup. Upon our refusal, he very politely offered to scrap the item off the bill. That was fair enough for us as we had only had a spoonful of the soup before we discovered the issue. Decent enough service recovery as well when he also brought out a complimentary chocolate brownie with ice cream for my son. Good location, great for chill session with drinks and bar snacks/light bites. But if you want a little bit of Saigon, Little Saigon is going to be as little of Saigon as you're going to get. (If you got my meaning, give yourself a standing ovation). And do proper cocktails for God's sake. Singapore already has watered down drinks, don't make it worse by watering it down further.

Probably one of the best β€œchill out” bands across the Clarke Quay area. E.N.T. Band performs every Wednesday till Saturday. Worth a visit just to listen to them perform. Proper Guinness Draught (not using a surger or draught in a can). Vietnamese inspired cuisine.

I wonder how many diners agree that there is nothing worse than biting into sand while eating your food? So last night I was dining at Little Saigon and ordered "Pho Xao/ Bun Xao (Seafood)", it is a stir fry noodle/ vermicilli dish which has clams in it. After I bite into sand a second time, we decided to inform the staff. Her explanation was that the sand were inside the clams and they could not wash them out completely. She was not surprised with our feedback, she is aware i.e. it is a norm here. I was short of retorting, will you eat them yourself? If the kitchen is not competent in washing & preparing the clams for cooking, they should exclude clams as an ingredient. It is basic culinary knowledge that one should wash out the sand in clams before cooking. There are other seafood to replace with, isn't it? Eating food with sand really spoiled my appetite. I love clams and have had clam dishes from zichar stalls to restaurants. But it is the first eating place that told me it is normal to accept clams with sand. I was deliberately between 2* or 3* rating because the other dishes we had were really quite nice for a first visit here but I won't come back again since the sandy clams made me doubt their kitchen competence and food safety. So yea, 2* for the kitchen and reply from staff.

Quite popular for Vietnamese cuisine and serves all authentic Vietnamese food. Depending on the time of the day. If u a tourist and wavering around late afternoon, u and stop here for an amazing Vietnamese coffee. over the evening, place has a live band - indoor seating and if u sit outside, make sure u get a river facing table and u get to dine and glance boats cruising on the singapore river. Amazing view.

The fried fish with vegetables was good.. The other dishes we ordered were just passable. The cocktails were watery, though there was a discount on them. Location was good by the riverside. Don't think i am will return.

Conveniently located at Clarke Quay that is vibrant and frequent by younger crowds that make a positive and energetic vibe visiting the restaurant. There is live band performing after 8pm that makes a positive note that this is the right place to visit to relax and enjoy the drink. There is happy hours drink offered at 50% (~$8) and you can pre-ordered before the end of happy hours.?????
