Looking for Taiwanese Porridge Buffet? Live Simply Cafe serves cheap and good Taiwanese Porridge buffet at $9.80 nett. Service was excellent as all staff were very pleasing, friendly and flexible. We were there at 11.20am when the official opening time is 12pm. The owner personally opened the door to invite us in for free serving of coffee or tea while waiting for the staff to finish the final preparations. The porridge and sweet potatoes were nicely done (sweet potatoes not too hard or soft). There were lotus root, carrot with meat soup and many other dishes (see attached photos). Quite a spread for that price. Best was the staff kept replenishing the dishes constantly. There was laksa too, for those who like fusion with local taste. I love the green beans soup with porridge. There are two additional dishes like grouper in Teochew or Thai style to add to buffet for additional $6.90 nett. Value for money. Worth trying.
