Best Mexican food in town! I tried the tacos and tamales in Los Jefes and as a Mexican I can say, this is definitely original mexican food. They have fair prices and portions. Thank you to make me feel like I’m in Mexico with the taste of your food!

Been looking forward to a date with Los Jefes ever since I realised that it was near my regular running spot. Let me just tell you that the experience of scoring food from them was akin to that of doing a drug drop haha - that’s how authentic it is. There’s no dining in at all, and when you get there, the shop is shuttered. Alas, you think, you must have gotten their opening hours wrong (they are only open a few days a week). But... if you’re brave enough to knock, the shutters open surreptitiously to reveal its owner. You’re told to make your order on oddleme and hang around. After 15 frustrating minutes struggling with the app, you finally get the notification and... you’re rewarded with what must be the most authentic Mexican food this side of SEA. All I can say is, now I fully understand why my Mexican friends get so upset when they’re served β€œMexican” food (which is really Texmex) in SG. It’s miles apart in terms of complexity, balance, mouth feel and aroma. No huge chunks of tomato and no grated cheese on everything. Instead you get homemade(?) salsa and your tacos are not dripping wet. The pork was also perfectly marinated in a blend of spices I couldn’t really figure out. Give it a shot, I assure you that the trouble is worth it and even a little exciting :)

Not easy for me to give 5 ⭐️ but this place really deserves it, one of the best Mexican places in Singapore if not the best. Location is not always important and neither glamour of the place. Quality of food and service are always most important. I can’t stress enough, find time to go or order online with islandwide delivery. On top of the invoice photo you can find the website to order. ????

I was hoping for a better experience. The food was burnt and the meat was not fresh. It was made from processed (probably canned?) beef tongue. The price is also very high for this quality of food. They don't serve the food, you get a beeper and gotta go fetch your own order, and yes, you still have to pay service fee regardless! The staff are amazingly nice and kind though (hence two stars) Edit: I didn't keep the receipt to check the service fee again. But since the owner is saying they don't charge for service, then it must be my mistake. My apologies. About the quality of the food however, my points stand. I enjoy ox/beef tongue and yes there are canned/processed products out there, yet if the owner says it's made fresh, again I have to take his word for it. Regardless, no one would want to have burnt meat in their Quesadilla. Adding a star back because I don't have the receipt to check the service fee. I might try the restaurant again.

Authentic Mexican join that focuses on takeaways. I loved their selection of tacos including the hard to find lengua and barbacoa. Their desserts are also worth taking note of. Of course, don’t miss out on the horchata. This place is as authentic as it gets.

We're longtime fans of Los Jefes. The tacos are delicious and consistently one of the best we've managed to find in Sg. Feels really authentic and different from the usual tex-mex style that you'll find in a lot of taco places. Our current faves are the carnitas and baja fish tacos. The owner is super helpful as well. Highly recommend!! Support small business!

Surprised to find a nice Mexican joint in the West. Unfortunately there's no dining-in at the moment so only takeaways and delivery. Loved the fish tacos especially the coleslaw beneath the fish. The lamb quesadilla was nice too. The Chipotle pork belly tacos were not bad except that the pork belly was dry which surprised me as pork bellies usually has plenty of fat to make the meat tender. Overall will definitely be back and hope they have dining in again.

Absolutely authentic and delicious food. This is a gem. Better than any Mexican taco I've had in town. It's called Los Jefes for a reason. They are THE BOSS.
