Chanced upon this place. Ordered Set A, which includes Chicken Rice, Double-Boiled Soup, Achar and Braised Penauts. The Chicken Rice was so yummy! I love the Soup as well!

It’s not bad but seems a bit more expensive for the price. Bought a set which comes w/ achar, peanuts and soup. The chicken is really tender but the peanuts weren’t nice. Something wrong with the sauce. Overall it’s not bad but feel can get better for cheaper price elsewhere. Lacks the delicious oomph somehow

The chicken is tender and the rice is fragrant :) Great cost performance. My parents always enjoy the food here. Most of the side dishes are also tasty - I’ve tried most of them and the only one I didn’t like was the sichuanese dumplings. The Thai tofu and prawn rolls are very good!

Very tender chicken, delicious side dishes and gizzard. We ordered the Thai-style fried tofu by mistake but it arrived so crispy and packed with flavour, we ended up really liking it.

Visited NEWest for lunch a few times for other stores and when passing by, we always see a crowd here even though it’s a relatively quiet “mall”. Finally decided to try the chicken rice and I am glad we did! The chicken is sooo smooth, tender and juicy. Rice is fragrant and prawn beancurd roll was good too. Was a satisfying lunch with my colleagues. Would be back again!

Great chicken texture. Rice is not bad, although it's just a little bit less fragrant. Nice gizzard. Chilli is a little toward orange colour side but it's still taste great. Nice crispy tofu.

Saw a 4.8 eating chicken rice store and can’t give it a miss since we are headed in that direction ? 20 minutes bus ride from where we were from, and pretty much right at the entrance is where this store lies. Went for a set and an ala carte version to see the difference, and definitely decided that we will go for the set in future based on the value proposition ($1.50 more for vegetables and eggs!). ? chicken was really tender, easy to bite through even for the breast meat ? rice was flavourful enough but not too heavy on the taste, soft yet not mushy, with each grain very defining - well cooked ? pretty sure there’s some garlic in there, and the smell already attracted us to scoop up more from the serving bowl - there’s also a really familiar spicy taste that we are used to, though it isn’t as spicy which is good ? kailan was okay, sauce could be improved by adding a little corn starch alongside oyster sauce ? 红油抄手 was pretty good, 8 pieces at $9.80 that comes with meat and prawn fillings, spicy yet sour due to vinegar - good addition there! All in all, this was really a good meal and we will be sure to return when we are craving for a good chicken rice ??

First time trying chicken rice in this shop. 2 pax for 21.80 . Half chicken ($15), 2 plates of rice and a plate of veggie. The chicken was smooth but slightly cold. The rice was good. Should go early for lunch to avoid the crowd. This place is relatively new and quiet. Good for a quick lunch. They have dumpling, prawn fritter, chicken feet and double boiled soup too.
