Nonetheless, they are still extremely popular here with the Heartlanders - pretty long queues can be spotted during peak hours and all of them remain freshly baked for sale within the day itself. The Crust is super crunchy and crispy. The Egg custard also very well toasted across the surface. Overall it it not too sweet as well and taste very original and authentic. 1 original egg tarts (normal size) costs S$2 here (slightly expensive if you were to ask me). 6 of these in a box would cost S$11. Mini versions are also available at S3 per 3 mini tarts and S$12 for a box of 12 mini tarts.
