Best of all, we’ve got to make a Christmas ornament using the cool laser gadget to cut out our design and really hands on to try to get the finishing touch. Really interesting event that brings out the craft in us that was forgotten with the busy lifestyle we had in Singapore.
Thanks to the host for such great hospitality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We made our own personalised Christmas ornaments at Makeso in December. Claude and Cheryl are the owners and they teach the classes themselves. They have really cool equipment to make virtually anything you want, and both of them are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do! The workshop itself is very comfortable, cozy, and well-equipped. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon. They can even accommodate small workshop parties!

They engaged with the participants and were wiling to share their knowledge, even if it is not related to the workshop.
The shop located at Joo Chiat is a charming place, where you can view all their customisable items. Overall, brillant experience, amazing team and host for the day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Makeso is a charming; spacious and very well maintained craft workshop/studio nestled on the 3rd floor of a shop house in Joo Chiat run by a husband and wife team. I went there for the first time recently for a leather workshop and was made to feel at home instantly with their warm and friendly welcome. The workshop itself was very engaging & educational (did you know that genuine leather is of lower quality than top grain leather and full grain leather is the most superior?!) and the trainers were experienced and knowledgeable, answering questions readily and guiding us patiently. I really enjoyed myself – I had fun whilst focusing my devotion and attention to making my leather pouch and I also found the experience surprisingly therapeutic, calming & thoroughly satisfying! Would definitely go back for another workshop – passport holder next maybe? Haaa!
